The diversity in each group made the revisiting fun and eye-opening. Hearing POV from diff. stakeholders made the task easier. It enables each member of the group express their thoughts and own experience in understanding the VM deeply.

Furthermore, I am estatic how all the ssi community want what is best for our students and their future.

After the 2-day productive meetings, I have learned a lot from our mission-vision revisit such as: (1) The origin and thoughts behind the current and past VM; (2) How the founding, previous, and current principals of the school perceived the VM; (3) That there is more to this meeting, not just a revisit, but a review and reflective moment for the institution where the views and opinions of every member present are heard; and lastly (4) Every school officials, parents, alumnus, and students are working with each other to make this institution a better place for the future and current generations.

• Identify the larger direction (basically find our North Star).

• Be relevant with the times.

• Value each stakeholder's input.

1. It serves as a guiding principle because it provides a sense of purpose and direction, helping stakeholders understand the goals and aspirations of the institution.

2. The school vision and mission serves as a benchmark for assessing progress and driving continuous improvement. By regularly evaluating how well the institution is aligning with its vision and mission , educators can identify areas for growth and implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and overall school performance.

3. The vision and mission statement form the basis for strategic planning and decision-making within the school. It helps leaders and administrators align resources, prioritize initiatives, and set measurable goals that are in line with the long-term vision and mission of the institution.

#REALITY 💭

It is also worth noting that the Vision and Mission, along with the Philosophies and Goals, will be the compass that will direct a lot of the school's initiatives and plans for the future. Those who shall ultimately decide on its final form have to consider a lot of factors: the current set of students, the merits and faults of the past, and present, the values we inherently have, among others.

1. Revamping our institution's vision-mission ensures alignment of our goals with societal change and emerging trends around us

2. This fosters stakeholders engagement and reflects organizational growth, which is a healthy practice for a community

3. This is an inspiration and motivation to all of us who have been a part of this history in SSI, to become more commited to our purpose.

Moreover, this revisit is a good avenue for us to uphold our culture of excellence - continuously looking for means on how to improve our craft for the betterment of our institution or the country at-large. We still have a long way to go to craft a revised one, but I hope we take all into considerations everything that has transpired in these discussions.

It is a very fulfilling experience that we had the opportunity to revisit our vision and mission statements.

I could already imagine the task of the "upper chamber" (to be initiated by the school principal) trying to validate, consolidate, and accommodate the inputs from all the groups. But what is more important is that everyone was given the chance to be heard and all the members of the school community were well represented.

We are making an impact in the history of SSI. Thank you so much everyone!

SPN Rep Jenny: I feel so thankful that I had the opportunity to join the SSI's Vision/Mission Revisit. I witnessed firsthand how the school was truly practicing what they teach to our children. I gained a deeper appreciation for the vision and mission of the school now than when my son started in SSI in Grade 1. It reaffirmed that I made the right decision when I researched about the school that he will attend for the next several years to shape his personality and growth as a student.

I am HONORED to be part of this 2 day Vision Mission Revisit Meeting. I am to be sure that I will remember this 2 day Meeting until I grow successful. To be part of something this important is something to be proud of, I learned many things about our school but not just about our school but also about the Teacher’s and Staffs. For me, the Mission and Vision of the school is created for the STUDENTS, we are the embodiment of the school, we give MEANING to the school itself, us students are the sole meaning of the School. Not only have I learned that I am part of a Good School, but I learned that because of this school, I became a good student.

This is my first time with the Vision-Mission Revisit. I am greatly honored to be one of the said carefully selected🥰.

As a parent of 2 who studied and 1 who still studying in SSI. We are so blessed and forever grateful with this institution. They are the living proof that the VM was implemented and reflected.
