A Long Way Down is a good book and would recommend it to people all over the world. Interpreting what the book meant was hard but accomplishable by thorough examination. Will is a young boy just searching and wanting to do right. To avenge his brother who wass killed by gun violence right in front of him. He's just doing what the system and family taught him to do. In the book, Will found out the "rules" when he was eight years old. Young enough to where your mind is still developing meaning is not quite mature enough to know right from wrong. He finds the gun that his brother hid from him and plans on going out to kill and get revenge or maybe even justice for his brother because that's what the rules imply for him to do. While Will is on the elevator he has all these people from his past who died from gun violence and many of them followed the rules hey egivesive some sort of advice and or perspective on what it would be like if he went down the path he was thinking about taking. When the elevator sthehethe last person he spoke to was his older brother that's when the book ends. The pictures on the slide give visual representations of the book. Choosing these pictures meant finding images that correlates with what Will and his community must be feeling. Tired of the cycles of violence. The pain that females are left with because they are the only ones who can show their feelings. The poor quality of housing forces people to stay in or around the killings and homicides.
