Earthquake is a term used to describe both sudden slip on a fault, and the resulting ground shaking and radiated seismic energy caused by the slip, or by volcanic or magmatic activity, or other sudden. When I imagine my experience of an earthquake I will be calm and think how I will protect my self and my family. First thing to do is take a cover by sitting under a strong table and if the earthquake heavy we must leave the building. Also we should stay away from anything may fall like windows and prepare first aid kit for any accidents will happened. We shouldn't use elevator and don't go out till the earthquake stops. We can use phones or listen to the news on TV to get the latest news. We feel fear and panic in the first. Then, the earthquake gone and we feel happy and relaxed.

Our country, may God protect it, is considered one of the countries that are least likely to be exposed to severe earthquakes, but it is not immune from that, as we are part of this world. I remember in 2017, when the media alerted us that our region would be affected With the earthquake that will happen in Iran, at that time I felt fear and panic.

And based on the keenness and responsibility of the Civil Defense to provide the best means of safety and security for all. I was keen to teach people how to protect themselves from these disasters, with a set of instructions in the event that they occur, which must be followed to save themselves and their families.
In the event of an earthquake, you should install large cabinets that are prone to falling, take cover under a strong table, stay away from windows and glass doors because they pose a danger in the event of an earthquake, and prepare a first aid kit for use when needed. Stay inside until the shaking stops, we must not use the elevator, and to get the right news we use the radio or TV. Finally, after the earthquake went away I felt happy because our area had a slight vibration and no one was harmed.

Imagining a natural disaster such as an earthquake in my area is very scary, but I will imagine this happening so that I can show how I will stay safe in this disaster. If I feel an earthquake is taking place, I should stay hidden under anything like a table to protect myself if anything is fallen. During the earthquake, many things must be considered to keep us safe, such as getting away from glass, windows, walls, or anything that falls such as vases, furniture, or lamps. It is important that a bag of first aid must be ready at home. Also, be sure that it is available bottles of drinking water and food cans at home. We must be attention to important things, like do not go outside the house if we are at home at the time of the earthquake, and if we are outside the house, we do not enter the house, but try to stay away from buildings and stay in open squares, and be sure not to use the elevators because the electricity may be cut off at any moment at the time of the earthquake.

It is important at the time of the earthquake to take advantages of the available technology, such as listening to the radio, watching television, or making use of social media to know the latest developments in the events of the earthquake and to receive instructions from the government authorities responsible for following up on the situation at the time of disasters.

It is normal when an earthquake occurs to feel fear and terror at first, but after that I must remain calm and stick by the instructions of the competent authorities, because after the earthquake ends, I will feel happy that I kept myself safety and escaped death.

There are many destructive natural phenomena that occur in this universe, which are either from a purely natural effect, as in volcanoes, earthquakes and hurricanes, or due to human interventions and the effects that these interventions leave in the natural environment. The most prominent of these dangers is a large drop in the ground level, the disintegration of rocks, the collapse of mountains, the occurrence of erosion in valleys, and the change in the features of the earth’s surface, as well as subsidence in underground cavities and the collapse of caves. Earthquakes The correct methods that must be followed during earthquakes to prevent them vary depending on where the person is, as if the person is indoors during the earthquake: Stay inside the building until the shaking stops and it is safe to go outside. Stay away from anything that might fall during an earthquake, such as lighting fixtures or even furniture. Stay away from windows, doors, glass, and exterior walls. Take cover by hiding under a strong table or any other piece of furniture, and trying to hold on to this piece until the tremor caused by the earthquake ends. Stay in the bed in the event of an earthquake and make sure to cover the head with the pillow, unless the location of the bed is exposed to the fall of any of the tools located near it or on top of it.

We did not know that it was earthquake but after one or two minutes it started to shake harder. We have five tables in our hall. We went under the table. But the earthquake did not stop. All the books in the racks, in the hall were falling down. The window glass was break down. The place has become a mess. We should stay inside the hotel until the shaking stopes. The situation was scary, I was afraid. I was praying to God to protect us. My father was carrying out the instructions by communicating with the hotel management via the TV screen. I still get scared when I remember the what happened.

keeping yourself safe during a disaster

Disaster can come anytime and anywhere without warning. For example, earthquakes are considered one of the most natural dangers. When earthquakes start, drop to the floor as soon as you can, get thrown off your feet and try to run while the building is moving, if there is a table or other form of cover, quickly crawling works to get underneath it—lastly, crouch close to the table with one arm over your head and one holding the leg. Always listen to radio, TV and social media for important updates.

. Make sure you also know what not to do, don’t run outside, don’t shelter in place using a drop cover and hold on, don’t get in a doorway, don’t shelter in place under a table and don’t make any phone calls.

Modern houses are not safer, and they don’t protect you from flying or falling objects. Follow the instructions from local authorities in the beginning when the earthquake hit. We were scared to death. Then we become relaxed and happy.

A natural disasters is environmental events that happen to the earth resulting from natural reasons.Yesterday, I was reading an old magazine and saw an article about an earthquake happened in Egypt in 1992,it lasted for half an hour and destroyed their houses. Many were injured and hundreds were dead. These were the immediate results of this natural disaster, but it doesn’t stop until here, there were thousands of homeless people. It was the most terrifying thing I have heard about. Here in Bahrain , thanks to allah we don’t suffer from natural disasters . sometimes, we can feel a small earthquake but thankfully it doesn’t bring any damage to the residents nor the buildings. After reading that article I realized how dangerous earthquakes are and searched about what to do if you have an earthquake in your city to protect your self and your family. You have to look for a shed to hide under and be careful not to be near to walls or windows, if you can’t reach a safe place, cover yourself with a blanket and pillows. I hope everyone stays safe and away from harms.

I was visiting my friend Muhammad and I got to know his small family and I stayed with them for the evening and in the middle of the night we heard terrifying sounds, so Muhammad opened the door to know what was going on. He was surprised that the windows broke, and we heard extravagant remarks strongly on the wall. Finding a way to survive, some of them have prepared the provision of canned food and water packages, providing first aid, and initiating social work so that they get to know, as well as the case, as well as social communication so that they learn about the news of the situation, as well as setting up by instructing them to avoid sitting next to windows and sitting under the decks leaving the house and using elevators And in a moment we heard loud screaming and the sounds of breaking windows, electricity cuts, and the collapse of some houses and shops on their owners. The world was in complete darkness and we did not see whether the fires were rising around us. Watch the video in the streets in the streets we saw in the streets And a storm was issued that swept the US state of Louisiana and was accompanied by winds and torrential rain with a speed of 240 kilometers per hour, which led to power outages throughout New Orleans. North city medical emergency Among these difficult and painful challenges, we thank God for the safety of everyone, and we are sorry for those who were injured.

Earthquake is a natural disaster that destroys anything it touches. The places where it happens at is the big cities. Last year, I experienced an earthquake that happened in my country and I luckily survived it. So, everybody has to know how to protect themselves from this disaster just like how I did.

Earthquake is one of the most dangerous disasters. We can protect ourselves from these disasters in many ways. You must take a cover under a table for an example. You also need to hold something, so you do not fall during the earthquake. It is very important to go away from all glass things like windows because while the earthquake is happening it will destroy houses. So, if you are close to glasses they will fall on your head. Furthermore, if you are in a house do not leave it or run from one room to a second one. Other ways to prevent getting hurt, if you are in a kitchen you must turn off the stove quickly. If there are available items close to you and good to take them as a shield, use them to protect yourself against this disaster. When you become sure that you are fully safe from the earthquake you have to stay and wait in your place until the disaster stops.

Technology can be helpful in two things. It can help us to know when this disaster is going to happen and how long it will stay. On the other hand, it can help us know how to protect ourselves from disasters and get all that we need to stay safe from them.

When that happened I felt scared because it was the first time for me to experience it, but then after surviving it I felt the peace. So, I recommend everyone to follow my instructions to feel what I felt.

Last summer we went to China and I was so excited to visit this country! But I had a horrible experience there. As we were going out from our hotel room, we felt the earth trembling. They told us it was an earthquake! Earthquake is a trembling or a shaking movement of the surface of the earth. If we ever to face this disaster, we should hide under the table or cover ourselves. Also, we should stay away from glass and breakable things to stay safe from injuries and danger. First aid kit should always be prepared for such emergencies, including some canned food and enough water. However, we shouldn’t use elevators nor go outside because it’s so dangerous. Therefore, we should stay inside the building/place we are in, and wait for the shaking to stop. Listening to the radio and keeping ourselves updated with the news can be helpful to know what’s going on and to follow the instructions given. I’m not going to lie, it’s a terrifying experience, but we should stay calm and patience as possible. In the end, we were so relaxed and relieved. We survived this incident because we followed all the instructions and we stayed positive.

Large and strong social relationships are very useful in natural disaster situations, by sharing information about the disaster, sharing plans to avoid potential hazards, and helping some in evacuation situations, so social media is a useful and effective tool that can be used in such situations

Each person must be prepared when a certain disaster occurs, by collecting and equipping the necessary equipment and items, putting them in the house or car, it is also necessary that there is enough food and water for each family member, a first aid kit, and a small stock of medicines as well. Knowing the accessibility of Transportation is an important measure before a disaster occurs so that everyone must make sure that there is a means of transportation that enables him to reach family and relatives, as well as the ability to access money and fuel in emergency situations, and mobility also includes the ability to be free to leave work and to pick up children from schools in cases of evacuation. There are some areas of life that can not be changed no matter how good the level of preparedness, such as the place of residence or the place of work, they are not easily adaptable, which leads to difficulty in evacuation and increased risk from disasters so that it is necessary to think of alternative ways to conditions that cannot be easily adapted in the event of disasters. Avoiding the effects of disasters includes taking measures to reduce the risk of disasters that threaten human life and property, including prevention activities such as: damming private property, building a flood wall, lifting the House, supporting heavy furniture on the wall, and also purchasing disaster insurance.

Trust the existence of mutual trust between the community, the responsible authorities, and the local media is very important in disaster situations, it helps in relying on them to know the information necessary for emergencies, and information on mandatory evacuations.

Combating climate change most human activities lead to the emission of greenhouse gases that affect the atmosphere and lead to increased extreme weather conditions and the presence of climate-related risks, so the committee on climate change warned against this phenomenon and called for reducing emissions, promoting adaptation measures and improving infrastructure, as well as preparing for the resulting risks.

Raising people's awareness of natural disasters leads to large numbers of deaths, especially of women, children, and people with disabilities. emphasis should be placed on raising people's awareness of how to deal with disasters and taking appropriate measures to increase the number of survivors such as programs launched by the United Nations. examples include the Sendai Seven program, which focuses on reducing mortality, reducing the number of affected people, reducing economic losses, and finally increasing international cooperation with developing countries.<

HAIDER WESSAM 2/11

Last month I experienced an earthquake. I took some steps to be safe from earthquakes. Before the earthquake we Had a disaster plan, and my father Prepared a disaster supplies kit for the home and the car. He also Included a first aid kit, battery-operated radio, flashlight, protective clothing, and written instructions on how to turn off electricity, gas, and water. I moved away from glass, hanging objects, bookcases, China cabinets, or other large furniture that could fall. I caught a heavy thing, so I stay in my place. I covered my neck and my head with a pillow to keep them safe. I turned off the stove. After the earthquake I Checked for injuries. At the end I hope we don’t see this disaster or any other disaster.

Mohammed Abbas Ahmed 2/12 Natural disasters are environmental events that happen to the earth as a result of natural causes. yesterday I was reading an old magazine and saw an article about an earthquake that happened in Egypt in 1992 that lasted half an hour and destroyed their homes many were injured and hundreds died these were the immediate results of this natural disaster but it did not stop even stop even here there thousands of homeless it was the most terrifying thing I heard about and here in Bahrain thank you to god we do not cause any harm to the residents or buildings and after reading the article I realized how dangerous earthquakes are and looked for what to do if you have an earthquake in your city to protect it you and your family find a shed to hide under and take care not to get close to the walls or windows if you cant get to a safe place cover yourself with a blanket and pillows I hope everyone stays safe.
