From this course, I have learned that sex and gender are two different terms and family is a unit that could bring out many advantages as to the economic perspective. Specialization within a family is able to increase the productivity and income gains to both men and women. Discrimination is also often discussed in the class where women usually is treated inequally as to men. The major type of discrimination of women is their wage earnings. It happens when both men and women are performing the same level of job but men get favorably paid more than women. Overall, from this Gender and Labour Market course, I get to better understand about the importance of women for the non-market work and also the large occupational differences that exists between men and women.

Differences occupation and earnings between women and men workers are also discussed about influencing factors such as age, education, gender and race
In addition, we also learn about the participation of women labor force. For example, women are more likely to be housewives or to work. See how the woman's abilities become housewives and husbands work or husband at home and women work. We also learned about the trends and scenarios of female labor force participation in Malaysia in various sectors.
Discrimination against women workers is also much discussed in lectures. This suggests that today discrimination against women workers remains either directly or indirectly as the differential between salary between men and women and emotional disorders of female workers either physically or mentally.

Even men and women got same certificated but their were treated different. Then, women are still implies traditional and society norms implies that women only focus on households and child care.
