Both portray America as the heavens of countries at that period of time where it was the only place no matter what gender, culture, or religion that you could pursue what you want, do what you want and live a untroubled life.

4.

- While discussing pieces of text, we recognized certain characteristics that we would in future use during the unit. AUDIENCE IMPERATIVE. It is an umbrella concept which means it covers a broad category of things rather than one particular thing. Audience imperative talks about targeting and referring a certain text to the audience. This could mean the reader, the listener, the viewer etc.

We copiously reviewed and learned on the vital importance of context in writing and creating pieces of work. Context allows the reader to make relationships and connections to what they are reading and how this applies to the background story of the author or piece of work. It facilitates the communication between the arguments, ideas and points of the text and the cause of the author creating these justifications. In addition, it helps construct the perception of the reader. With more context and insight it allows the connections to come through to the audience and the overall point of view to come logical information.

"This speech covers a philosophical concept and touches a complex issue about people pursuing or not pursuing their aspirations". I believe I have attempted to make a clear understanding and demonstration to the reader explaining what the speech is about. "He uses rhetorical appeals of logos, ethos, pathos while simultaneously sharing personal anecdotes that cover the ideas of love, death, and self-belief in a unique mechanism". The inclusion of rhetoric appeals and other side points could possibly enable the audience to understand what is going to be focused on and how the use of each technique will impact the perception and overall message of the speech.

When we did our social media posts in which we could raise awareness about any topic but we had passionate statements allowed me to educate myself on current real life issues not only making me more interested in current issues and how I can help but using this task as an opportunity to remind people on concepts ,events or occurrences they might have not known about. In addition, in a recent task we did a compare and contrast essay analysing two different texts. In this task I learned about new groups and programmes that exist across different locations and allowed me to emotionally or some form connect with them and their story and how their own struggles offer a way for us to share relatable experiences together in a real life context.

I believe, reflecting back on the unit I would say I conquered being a better communicator. Throughout the unit we would have all types of class discussions in different platforms such as Jamboard, Google Docs and Zoom allowed me to expand my communication skills in a way that I could clearly transmit my ideas and perspectives as well as having a more inclusive class discussion when creating new ideas and arguments. Overtime no matter what concept, issue or group of people I was able to be discuss and identify different arguments and convey different perceptions. Thus, I became a better communicator

Inside, the school smelled smartly of varnish and wood smoke from the potbellied stove. On gloomy days, not unknown in upstate New York in this region south of Lake Ontario and east of Lake Erie, the windows emitted a vague, gauzy light, not much reinforced by ceiling lights. We squinted at the blackboard, that seemed far away since it was on a small platform, where Mrs. Dietz's desk was also positioned, at the front, left of the room. We sat in rows of seats, smallest at the front, largest at the rear, attached at their bases by metal runners, like a toboggan; the wood of these desks seemed beautiful to me, smooth and of the red-burnished hue of horse chestnuts. The floor was bare wooden planks. An American flag hung limply at the far left of the blackboard and above the blackboard, running across the front of the room, designed to draw our eyes to it avidly, worshipfully, were paper squares showing that beautifully shaped script known as Parker Penmanship.

- In the beginning sentence, good use of terminology to describe the wood and a practical example of imagery

- "Vague, Gazy light" - Good figurative language

- We sat in rows of seats... The floor was bare wooden planks - Clear, descriptive, effective and extremely powerful sensory imagery to explain to the audience the surroundings and set of the story

- "far left of the blackboard and above the blackboard" - REPITION Instead, a alternative could be "The American Flag hung in the far left and above the blackboard."

- "worshipfully, were paper squares showing" - Grammatical error "were". Instead it would be "where". "worshipfully ,where paper squares..."

The sequestered savannah tree hindered in the ferocious wild is under the remarkable conflagration of the great rich and golden sky to which serves as a paramount refuge for creatures surrounded. The verdant and almost overwhelmingly green grass contrasting with the ghastly and dark colours of the night approaching sends the wild a message of eminent danger as predators enter there devoured accommodation. Almost as if the universe shifts its destiny to calamity and an endless tribulation. The earthy aromas airing through the atmosphere formulating a dimension of exquisite familiarity bringing back heart felt memories of family and momentous joy. The animals are nowhere to be seen creating gaping silence of unique creatures supposedly existent. Absence of wise and ancestral elephants, towering and timid giraffes and beast like lions.
