Indian Institute of Management IIM Bangalore was the third IIM to be set up after IIM Ahmadabad and IIM Calcutta. IIM B was established in 1973 mainly to cater to public sector as the previous two IIMs were bent towards the private sector.

5. Falucty of management Studies FMS Delhi

Faculty of Management Studies FMS Delhi is situated in the North Campus of University of Delhi. It was established in 1954 and was the first business school in India to offer full time MBA programme. As IIM - B, IIM Lucknow also didn't disclose salaries and placement details for 2010. However from different sources it was evident that average salaries in IIM Lucknow for 2010 was around INR 11-12 lacs for domestic and USD 90,000 for international placements. IIM L student offers for most of its 22o student which appeared in final placements. Total offered salary rise was in the range of 20-25%.

The final round of placement of SP Jain just completed in Dec and the actual figures are not available, how ever it is evident from various sources that average domestic salary was in the range of INR 10 lacs per annum.
