The film is set in locations along the United Kingdom in towns with old houses (Derbyshire, Wilton House in Salisbury and Groombridge Place in Kent). The film release was in 2005 by Working Title Films. The director is Joe Wright, who has stood out for other productions such as Atonement (2007), Anna Karenina (2012) and Darkest Hour (2017). Pride and Prejudice would be the movie that would help him to establish in the industry and for which he would win the BAFTA award in 2005 for the best British director, screenwriter or producer. The soundtrack is great, it was in charge of Dario Marianelli and Jean-Yves Thibaudet on piano. The storyline unfolds around the lives of the five Bennet sisters: Jane, Elizabeth, Lydia, Mary and Kitty. In addition, her figure could be said to be a kind of modern and rebellious heroine ahead of her time. The great achievement of this film is that on the one hand, it is possible to adhere as closely as possible to the storyline of the book, and on the other, that it went outside the normal margins of a typical love affair with a happy ending . The acting is very good, Kayira stands out with an emotional interpretation in the role of Elizabeth.I thought that the movie was well done.I felt like the music added a lot of emotion to the movie too. It was quite interesting. In my opinion, I highly recommend Pride and prejudice, especially if you are looking for romantic films.
