         <title>Education and Economy System</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before the industrial revolution occurred, there were very few "employees". There were farmers, blacksmiths, merchants, for example. Because of this, very few people needed to go to college as there was not a high demand for leadership positions. However, after the industrial revolution, with the opening of factories and offices, the demand for university graduates sky rocketed with the economic eruption. This event in history has created what I believe to be a systematic reverberation, or an echo, in the economical and educational fields. We still "hear" or experience this to this day. We now examine the continuing relationship between the educational and economic systems as it exists in the new paradigm that is indubitably insecure as it is merely an afterthought of what the world once thought a necessary advancement to be. Perhaps it was, but like all things, times have changed. I believe that our natural state, that is to say, our consciousness without any disturbance like water when the ripple effect of a stone ceases to influence the stillness,&nbsp; knows exactly how to sustain a harmonious ecological and economical system. Yet, as it stands, the population finds itself yearning to meet the structure of echoes that the industrial revolution created with incentives for change in school programs and mindfulness practices in the work place. It is my hypothesis that these efforts, well meaning as they are, are fruitful only in the moment, not so much in long term picture. This is because we are attempting to influence a paradigm that is in of itself bound for eventual collapse, similar to how an echo fades. The long term effort can be imagined as the silence that has always resided in-between the noise and this silence will emerge in of itself in the form of the intuitive wisdom of the human being. Such a question of, how can one change the educational or economic system individually, is also a well meaning inquiry, yet the matter has to be concerned in a package deal. If you wish to change the economic system, you have to change the educational system, that is, to influence the future leaders of the world with a curriculum that promotes the striving for quality of life rather than quantity, for example. But if you want to change the educational system, you have to change the economical system, because the economical system creates the purpose for the school grounds and classroom exams. The two systems exist in a parallel relationship, where change must be worked at from a midway point and with a completely present understanding of the current relationship and of the influence one system has on the other. Now again, as I mentioned before, there will come a time when the two systems will reveal themselves to be not faulty, but empty in a sense, to our aspirations for a higher good. This new paradigm of flourishing will emerge from the heart of mankind, and will create an environment more beautiful than our species has ever known. </div>]]></description>
