Class Point System: ClassDojo, students are able to earn points collectively for participation or following classroom rules. Students with the most points by the end of the week/month/quarter, are able to use points towards the treasure box.

Individual Achievement Rewards, students that set goals weather it's reading a certain amount of pages, completing iReady lessons, or even mastering certain strategies; they are given personalized certificates.

Personalized Recognition, sending positive notes or emails, as well as dojo messages to parents, and recognizing their child's behavior or improvements.

• As students arrive to the classroom, they will be joining me on the carpet for our daily morning meeting.

• Here, we share how we feel, review a new short story relating to the week's topic.

Math - Operations (8:15-8:30 AM)

• An brief introduction with operations by using flashcards.

• Incorporating flashcards where students can "I spy a sun of..." and students need to grab the correct flashcard as fast as they can.

Reading and ELA Story Time (8:30-10:00 AM)

• Story time will occur on the carpet, and the focus will be on reading comprehension with our story of the week.

• Skills such as story elements, sequence of events, and plot will be incorporated to give an opportunity to students to share their answers and opinions/ideas of the story.

• Skills can be assessed by asking questions pertaining to the story and what is the effect based on their answers.

Special Areas (11:00-11:45 AM)

• Providing students to engage in a rotation basis special area class that enhances their artistic abilities.

Lunch (12:00 - 12:30 PM)

Recess (12:30-1:00 PM)

• Increasing students' physical activity after being in the classroom for a standard period of time.

• Provides a much-needed break from the classroom, and students with a breath of fresh air, and sunlight.

Independent Reading Practice (1:00-2:00 PM)

• Allows students to immerse themselves in a book/story provided by the library, and attempts to enhance their live for reading.

Project Based Learning, this can include hands on projects that can relate to essential questions of specific subjects. (STEM projects)

Technology integration using educational apps, (Studies & Science Weekly, BrainPOP, Booklet, etc.) This can help a student reinforce curriculum objectives.

Fill "dead time", as you are preparing to transition into another part of the day, have students "Think Pair Share", Quick write in their journals, asking students to identify 3 things they already know about the subject.
