To make sure your reader understands your writing, you must put the story in an order that flows. Making sure your story flows will make a student’s writing better. Teaching students at a young age will help these students create writing that others can understand. It doesn’t make sense for a person to start his or her story in the middle of a tree’s life cycle. Rather, it makes more sense for a person to start the story of a tree from the seed. Allowing them to get up and move while I tell the story will help them visualize the different stages of a tree’s life. This also shows them that starting from the beginning makes more sense. The follow-up questions are a great way to show them and ask them, “At what time did you get your roots? Was it in the beginning, middle, or end?” 

One thing I would like to add to this lesson is to have a different story for each table group.
