But on a serious note: yes, I have. 1999 - the same year the Blair Witch Project came out, my twin brother and I snuck away to visit the abandoned Buck Hill Falls Inn (where our parents had their wedding reception). The place was rumored to be haunted because apparently a bride named Lorna Kilpatrick was murdered there by the very priest that married her the day before at the resort. He committed suicide and a maid slit her wrists in there while clutching a rosary. We grew up hearing that Lorna's ghost has haunted the room ever since. My cousin has like all things scary so he would search up spooky places and we'd go for a drive there. One night we drove down this road where they said people were killed and at night you could still see them hanging (again according to my cousin). I thought he was trying to scare me (like always) until I saw this shadowy figure. I could have sworn it was hanging from a tree. I made the quickest U turn of my life to get out of there. Was it real? It was basically its own apartment in the downstairs of our home. He told me that although HE was leaving the Domovoi was not. A Domovoi is a Russian house spirit. And depending on whether you are a good person or bad person, the spirit can be harmless or it can be mischievous. My dad had recently downed a tree in our backyard... and my brother told me that the Domovoi was not happy. I didn't sleep for months.
