I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a focal point of our religion is family. In my religion we believe that when two people are worthy and are married in the temple then they will be sealed together for time and all eternity. This has always been my biggest goal in life. I look at the families of my friends and those all around me and grow my dream of creating a family of my own with a husband of my own. When I was young I would always create lists of character traits I would want my future husband to have so it is crazy to me that the time for me to actually be looking for this man is quickly approaching. I dream that one day I will find the man who will be mister right to me who I will be able to take to the temple and be sealed together there for time and all eternity. My parents have always been such great examples to me when it comes to this. They are so loving to one another and I rarely hear them argue about anything. They would do absolutely anything for the betterment of one another and that is exactly what I long for in my forever companion. In order to do this I have also grown a love of traveling. Within the first few years of my marriage I would love to travel the world with my husband. I think this would help us to grow together and it would also help us to appreciate our lives and the world around us. I would also love to continue traveling when I have kids so I can convey a love of the world into my children too. I love nature and enjoying the beautiful blessings that have been placed all around us. I also love learning about how different people around the world live. This passion was instilled in me when I went to Fiji to build bathrooms for the local villages. I saw how they lived and loved one another and I instantly fell in love with different cultures. Learning about different cultures brings me a greater appreciation for the life that I have back home. I also love photography so I would be able to pursue this passion with traveling as well. One of my favorite quotes about traveling is ” The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes" by Marcel Proust. This to me perfectly describes my feelings towards traveling. Seeing the world will help me to be much better at seeing my own life in a greater perspective.

I used to always watch all the typical California movies and think "oh my goodness i need to learn how to do that!". I have always loved ht beach and the peaceful vibes that it brings so surfing would be a great way to spend my time there. I also have grown a desire to learn how to do this through my older brother Blake. When he was in high school he would go out what seemed like every day and taught himself how to surf. It was amazing to watch him through the months as I could see how his hard work really payed off and his progress was so easy to see. One summer I decided that I wanted to give it a go so the night before I watched my favorite surfing movie, Chasing Mavericks, for inspiration and my brother taught me how to duck dive in the pool. The next day we went out to oceanside to finally put me to the test. At first he told me to stretch because we were going to be doing a lot of work but I didn't really believe him and boy was I wrong. I was too weak to even paddle myself out past the break because the waves were so big so he had me grab on to his leash and he pulled me out there. My luck wasn't much better once I actually got to trying to surf, but I was still determined to learn. I loved the learning process and by the end of the day I could already see some improvement. I have been so blessed to have been able to live in such a nice area and been able to make so many amazing memories here. I would love if one day I could provide my own family with the same experiences. A home is where the family comes together and unites, so I want to find somewhere were we can do that in peace every day. I believe that having a peaceful home is essential to having a happy family. I love Temecula so if it isn't too expensive for my future budget I would love to continue to live here with my family. One day I would absolutely love to own animals of my own to take care of with my own family. I think that having animals when you have kids in the house teaches them how to care for other things and also teaches them responsibility. Owning animals with my family would not only be fun, but it would help the kids to grow and learn essential lessons. Throughout my life, the animals that I have had with my family have not just been animals, but they have been a part of the family. We care for them so much and it has truly brought me a love of animals. I would like to start off achieving this goal by rescuing a dog from a shelter. I would like to do it this way because there are so many animals in the world who will be put down if people don't come to buy them so I could be making a difference and saving some of those dogs lives. I currently own a german shepherd who is like a sister to me. She goes on runs with me, sleeps on my bed every night, and even comforts me when she knows I am sad. For these reasons I would love my first dog to be a german shepherd because I know that they are so sweet and would do anything for their owners. I have always felt like I won't just be a stay at home mom, so I will pursue my goal of having a successful job. I will do this by searching out what it is I want to do, and then majoring in college in something that will help me in that. While I may not know what I would like to major in just yet I do know that I will be attending BYU starting this fall. I want to attend there for all four years and earn a degree. Currently I am very interested in subjects having to do with different cultures and societies. I could possibly be majoring in cultural anthropology so I could travel and research how different cultures grow and work together. I am also interested in going to a university so I can meet people who I otherwise wouldn't meet. I know that diverse people that I normally wouldn't put myself around could be very influential in my life. I am also very interested in sports and staying active and BYU offers many intramural sports that I can take part in. This would allow me to continue my interest in sports while also meeting people that would be enriching to my life. I also am excited to be attending BYU so I can be apart of a school with such great school spirit. Having gone to Great Oak High School there is a certain level of spirit that is engrained into my mind and I would love to continue that on into my college years. I am so excited to be able to attend my dream school that I worked so hard to get into in the fall. It is harder for me to enjoy the simple things in life and live life to the fullest sometimes because of it. I would love to one day work towards lessening this anxiety. I want to be able to find the tools in my life to let go of my anxiety and move towards inner peace. Some ways I will work towards this goal are talking to professionals about it, or maybe finding a passion that will bring me joy and distract me from my worries. I love the ocean and nature so it would be amazing if I could recreate these things in resin.
