It has been amazing to work with you over the years and watch you grow into a confident teacher and leader that advocates for every child to have the best education possible. It was such a privilege to work with you at NBPES as we both learned new roles. I was always struck by your willingness to try new approaches and lean outside your comfort zone, always in service of students and families and providing all a great education. We founded NBP together as teachers and I was always comforted by this fact while serving alongside you on the LT. I've watched you overcome so many challenges throughout our 7 years at NBP, all while becoming a rockstar teacher who always put the needs of our students first. It's been so fun getting to work with you for the past couple of years, and especially during these last few months as your coachee. This work is HARD and I appreciate having the space each week with you to problem solve, vent, and figure things out together. Watching the way you've worked with families, and the trust they have in your is inspiring. Your commitment to making sure all of them feel supported, included, and valued has been something that I've looked up to in this role. I remember back when you were Ms. Fuchs and weren't yet married with your beautiful children! I will forever be grateful for having you as a colleague, co-teacher and coach. It's hard to believe that it was 7 years ago that we were seated next to each other in ManyMinds bonding over UMD and many other commonalities. It wasn't until when we were paired together as co-teachers in year 3 that I had the opportunity to see what an amazing teacher you are. Your belief that all students can succeed, use data to differentiate for each and every student, and the way you seamlessly created an inclusive and safe classroom environment made me a better teacher. You are one of the most humble and hardworking people I have ever met- as the founding special services coordinator, then dean, you simultaneously got married, had two incredible children and made it look easy. Thank you for not just being an outstanding mentor, but also a friend I could trust. I know wherever you go next they will be lucky to have you.
