Another major practice in Scientology is recognizing and living by the eight “dynamics.” For instance, the first dynamic is considered one’s urge to survive, while the second relates to family. The dynamics overall cover a wide range of topics, such as mankind, all living organisms, groups, the soul, the physical universe, and the Infinity. For any problem encountered, the best solution in the eyes of a Scientologist is the one that is in the best interest of the most number of dynamics. The Eighth Dynamic in particular, also called the God Dynamic, represents the concept of a Supreme Being. Specifically, an “auditor,” who is a counselor, asks several questions to a Preclear (thetan) and takes note of the responses. The auditor is not supposed to hint, suggest, or disapprove of a specific response - they make their best attempt to create an environment in which the Preclear can feel safe and focused on answering the questions for the session. If a preclear answers sufficiently in the eyes of the auditor, they become “cleared” and are referred to as a “clear” rather than a “preclear.” Clears are people that are seen as model individuals that have successfully cleansed their minds of the ideas held by the thetans that inhabit them. Founded within the past century, Scientology has books, rather than ancient texts, that are deemed essential readings to all those who wish to practice and understand Scientology better. The vast majority of these books are written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The writings detail Scientology's main beliefs, including reaching a state of "Clear" and the importance of the "Eight Dynamics"

Squirrel Busters harass Marty Rathbun, a former Senior Executive of the CoS who left and criticized the Church.Separate from the government's laws, Scientologists also abide by the religion's own ethics system. Specific "Ethics Officers" ensure that all of the organization's rules are followed and practices properly carried out. Those who leave the Church to either speak out against them or join a separate Scientology group (who use Hubbard's teachings outside of typical CoS conventions) such as the Free Zone are condemned and called "squirrels." Similar to many religions around the world, including the Abrahamic faiths, Scientology contains the concept of an All-powerful deity. Although Hubbard did not specifically describe the supreme being that Scientologists believe in, he acknowledged its existence and suggested that those who reach states of “Clear” and enlightenment can formulate their own ideas for what the “Infinity” is. Some of the most significant holidays include founder L. All of these events have massive international celebrations hosted by the Church of Scientology. In addition to recognizing the holidays, the Church utilizes this time to relay to the rest of its members its status in society and its agenda for the upcoming future.

Unlike certain religions(such as the Abrahamic Faiths), Scientology is not religiously exclusive - its members are allowed to believe in other religions and also participate in their activities and sacred rituals. Also, Scientology is non-denominational and open to everyone, regardless of religious background or ethnicity or educational upbringing.
