         <description><![CDATA[<div>Macbeth is insecure about the plans of killing Duncan, since he is a great and humble leader. He tells Lady Macbeth that he cannot go through with the plan and she gets mad at him since she would never break a promise herself. She tells him how she will get the king's guards drunk at night and then they can kill the king. Macbeth decides to go on with the plan. "I have given suck and know how tender ’tis to love the babe that milks me. I would, while it was smiling in my face,</div><div>Have plucked my nipple from his boneless gums</div><div>And dashed the brains out, had I so sworn as you Have done to this."          <description><![CDATA[<div>King Duncan, Malcolm, Donaldbain and Lennox meet a bleeding captain, wounded in battle. They learned that Macbeth killed Macdonald. Macbeth battles the Thane of Cawdor, capturing him and Duncan sentences the Thane of Cawdor to death and Macbeth becomes the new Thane. "No more that Thane of Cawdor shall deceive our bosom interest. Go pronounce his present death and with his former title greet Macbeth." (p. 7, ll. 63-65)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Macbeth meets the witches. When Macbeth interferes with them, he is told that he shall become the new Thane of Cawdor and King of Scotland. When Macbeth asks questions, the witches vanish. Ross arrives to tell him of the King's delight after hearing about Macbeths succes and tells him, that he is now Thane of Cawdor. He worries about the death of Duncan.<br>"All hail Macbeth, hail to thee, Thane of Glamis. All hail Macbeth, hail to thee,  Thane of Cawdor. All hail Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter."          <description><![CDATA[<div>The king gets informed that the Thane of Cawdor has been executed after confessing his treasons. The king reflects on the fact, that you can never know who you can trust.  He then welcomes Macbeth who declares him his loyalty. Duncan tells that his son Malcolm will become the new king, but all who deserves a title will get one. "There's no art to find the mind's construction in the face. He was a gentleman on whom I built an absolute trust." (p. 19, ll. 11-14)</div>]]></description>

In this letter she is informed that Macbeth is getting a promotion.  She starts planning on what to do, so that Macbeth and her can get more power.  Lady Macbeth has little faith in Macbeth, she fears he is too kind to be such of a ruler that she wishes him to be. "Come, you spirits  That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here,  And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full  Of direst cruelty” (p. 25, ll. .38–41). </div>]]></description>
