         <title>The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association have jointly conducted a study on the health effects of using smartphones and portable electronic devices among Hong Kong people.Results showed that, out of the 1,049 people surveyed, 70% of adults and 30% of children and adolescents have reported musculoskeletal symptoms in different parts of the body in relation to the use of electronic devices.</title>

They can use electronics, but do not know how to tie their own shoes or swim.<br>• It is important to children to spend some time for outdoor activity with family and friends. The times spent on the devices may curb some outdoor activities.<br>• When children play violent games for a long period of time, they are tend to be more aggressive. They are more prone to confront their teachers, peers, and relatives.<br>• Children who spend significant time on devices may have difficulty concentrating on their studies.<br>• Excessive computer exposure can be addictive. This can lead to a sedentary lifestyle, poor health, time management, and eating habits.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Limit the use of TV, computers and mobile devices to a maximum of 30 minutes at a time. Ensure the total amount of screen time per day doesn’t exceed the age-group recommendations.</li><li>Schedule an appropriate time for using the device, and plan fun physical activities for your child to engage in at other times.</li><li>Refrain from putting TV and electronic gadgets in your child’s bedroom, and put away such devices after use.</li><li>Observe ‘tech-free’ times such as during meals, homework and bedtime. In addition, you can designate ‘tech-free’ zones for your child such as in the bedroom, dining area and in the car.</li><li>Teach your child early about the importance of moderation. Be sure to offer praise when your child demonstrates restraint in the use of tech devices and follows the rules you’ve set.</li><li>Monitor access by using the device together with your child. Take this opportunity to communicate, interact and share family values.</li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>
