Each classroom followed a different inquiry pathway with the Junior's deciding to focus on the maintenance and further development of the school gardens.

Mrs Beaumont, our garden facilitator worked with the teachers and students on Thursdays to build, tidy, plant, maintain & our gardens. It was hard over lockdown and with bad weather but we have managed to do a good job. Some are almost ready for harvest. Features are: a Junior Herb garden, various garden beds for strawberries, broad beans, corn, cabbages & broccoli and tyres for potatoes. Mr and Mrs Beaumont have very kindly donated supplies and their time to build us a berry shelter. Once this is finished, the students can begin planting the berries and maintaining the area. The Junior's will work on fixing up and maintaining the monarch butterfly garden. Some of the seniors are developing a water feature for the garden and the living hut will tidied up ready to use. We will continue to use the garden every week for KEGS, gathering produce to eat at school with any excess produce going into the little veggie stand for the community to use. We've learnt how to grow our own healthy kai, about plant life cycles, all about germination, how to use tools safely and look after them, how our gardens change with the seasons, how to work together as a team and so much more.  But it doesn't stop there.
