They used trees as shield. They knew the land so they used that as an advantage.  


British- The British used the weather as a way to help them bring in ships and to split up and sneak attack. They used thick fog as a way to prevent the Continental Army from seeing them board ships to shore. This strategy resulted in a loss but it saved many lives. The Continental Army had to leave all their cannons and retreat.

British-  Their strategy was effective because they used the fog as a way to be unseen. They also spit up into two because they had two different Generals. They also attacked two different points to surround the Patriots.
