Be sure your topic is related to your role as a teacher librarian, not a classroom teacher.
-Teach the AASL Standard (i.e., information literacy skill). This means you should focus on the content of the AASL Standard. For example, you should not make a Padlet discussion about a science topic, then state that it reflects an AASL standard. Curate resources for the information literacy skill and talk exclusively about the information literacy skill in your video.
-Make sure the video shows large enough in the Padlet.
-Screen-Cast-O-Matic will allow you to create a screencast no longer than 15 minutes for free, that can be uploaded to YouTube. The instructor will be expecting clear audio. In addition, do not record your computer screen with your phone camera, record yourself in a cluttered background, or in an inappropriate place such in your living room while sitting on your couch or at your kitchen table. Please look your best if you feel as if you need to appear on camera. If you are going to appear on camera, sit down, level the camera so that it is straight, and look directly at it.
-If you are reading a script. Put it on your computer screen. Paper should not be rattling in the background of your video.
-Log out of Padlet and try your link to be sure that your link is accessible without logging into Padlet.
