A fun and educational Scratch workshop was organized within the scope of our First Step into the Digital World - Introducing STEM project. During the workshop, students were introduced to the Scratch program, drew fish and carried out coding practices.

On our board, we comprehensively showcased the objectives, goals, and activities we have carried out so far. Additionally, we emphasized the benefits that our project provided to students in terms of digital security and internet usage. We took great care to ensure that everyone who visited the board could see how comprehensive and impressive our project is.

This board aims to both appreciate the efforts of our students and teachers and to raise awareness within our school community about our project. Through this diligent work, we aim to increase interest in our project and reach a wider audience.

We presented the information on our prepared bulletin board to students in different classes. We carefully conveyed the project details, the contributions of our students and teachers, the activities we carried out, and the successes we achieved to the students. Through these presentations, the students better understood the objectives of our project and the gains achieved. Additionally, the coding projects and the work done on digital security showcased on the bulletin board attracted great interest from the students. This information dissemination process helped all students in our school become more aware of our project and increased their interest.

We conducted a logo voting process for our project with our students. To this end, we created a Google Forms survey, allowing students to choose their favorite among various logo designs. The voting process increased students' interest in the project and enabled them to highlight their creativity. Additionally, it strengthened their commitment to the project. According to the survey results, the logo with the most votes was selected as the official logo of our project, further encouraging student participation in this process.

We carried out an exciting logo design process for the project together with our students. Each of our partners created their own design, resulting in a total of 10 different logos. These logos brought diverse perspectives and creative ideas to the project. Then, we presented these logos to all the students and organized a voting process. The voting results were quite thrilling; the number 5 logo was selected as the clear winner with 258 votes! This process not only increased the students' interest in the project but also allowed them to showcase their creative talents. Our new logo will accompany us in all future activities, reflecting the spirit and purpose of our project. We would like to thank all our students and partners for their contributions to this process.

Project activities are perfectly integrated into the natural sciences, we use technology, innovation, mathematics, ecology, engineering and are regularly planned in the implementation of classes.

By sharing the links of the games created by the students with their parents, we ensured their involvement in the process as well. On weekends, students played their games at home with their families, having fun while reinforcing what they had learned. This allowed students to develop their programming skills not only in the classroom but also at home. Parents also witnessed the progress their children made by seeing their creative projects and shared the joy of this experience together. This process not only increased students' interest in technology but also strengthened family communication and collaboration.

"Dijital Dünyaya İlk Adım - STEM'e Giriş" projesi çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilen Büyüme Serüveni – Bitki Yaşam Döngüsü etkinliği, öğrenciler için bilimsel keşif ve öğrenme dolu bir serüvene dönüştü. As part of the "First Step into the Digital World - Introduction to STEM" project, the Growth Journey – Plant Life Cycle event turned into an adventure full of scientific discovery and learning for the students. Participants meticulously observed bean seeds in cotton and followed the growth stages of the plants step by step. By diligently noting and drawing the daily development of the plants, the students not only learned about the plant life cycle but also gained a sense of responsibility and meticulous observation skills. This event significantly enhanced the students' curiosity and exploration, while also developing their scientific thinking skills. 🌱📚

As part of the "First Step into the Digital World" project carried out at Erdemkent Primary School, the student introduction process was carefully designed. Without using real images of the students, cartoon-style avatars were created for each participant. These avatars were then animated and made to speak using a different program. At our information stand set up in the event area, the brochures providing details about the activities carried out within the scope of the project attracted great interest. Through these brochures, participants had the opportunity to learn more closely about the goals and achievements of our project, as well as to get answers to their questions about the eTwinning process. We were especially pleased that representatives from the Provincial Directorate of National Education and principals from various schools attended the event, which helped increase the visibility of our project.

As part of the May 9th eTwinning Day celebrations, we prepared name badges for both our students and the guest students, teachers, and administrators who attended the exhibition. These badges were thoughtfully designed to include our project logo, the eTwinning logo, and our school’s logo, allowing each participant to feel special. During our May 9th eTwinning Day event, we exhibited our students’ creative works centered around the main theme of our project’s exhibition: “bridge building.” Our students combined their imagination with various materials to design a wide array of original and creative bridge models. Acting as a visual call to inspire thinking and creativity, the poster added meaningful value to the event. We Shared Our Bridge Project Online with Bilgi Çocuk Kindergarten!

As part of the eTwinning Day on May 9th, we shared one of the most important aspects of our project—the “bridge activity”—with the students and teachers of Bilgi Çocuk Kindergarten through an online meeting. During this virtual session, our students presented the bridge models they had designed, showcasing their creativity and explaining what they gained from the project. The meeting was filled with mutual interaction and enjoyable exchanges, strengthening the spirit of collaboration and proving once again that project-based learning can be effective regardless of age group. This meaningful “bridge” built with younger students added a new and valuable dimension to our project.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Online Meeting and Get-to-Know Wheel Activity with Our Project Partners!

As part of our project, we are bringing our students together in a fun activity during an online meeting with the participation of all our partners!

In the meeting, students will take turns spinning the “Get-to-Know Wheel,” prepared using the Wordwall platform, and answer questions about themselves. Through this activity, students will get to know each other better, interaction among project partners will increase, and the spirit of collaboration will be strengthened.

Projemiz kapsamında tüm ortaklarımızla gerçekleştirdiğimiz online toplantıda, işbirliğine dayalı eğlenceli bir etkinlik düzenledik. Collaborative Product with Our Project Partners: Get-to-Know Wheel Activity on Wordwall

As part of our project, we organized an engaging and collaborative activity during an online meeting held with all our partners. In the meeting, students took turns spinning a "Get-to-Know Wheel" prepared on the Wordwall platform and answered the questions that appeared, introducing themselves in a fun and interactive way.

This wheel activity is included under the "Collaborative Product" section of our project and contributed to establishing a warm and friendly interaction among participants. The event, held with the participation of all project partners, was an enjoyable and productive step toward achieving the shared goals of our project.

A Zoom Meeting with the Participation of Project Partners Held

As part of a classroom activity, our students worked together to create a meaningful acrostic poem based on the letters of the word STEAM. After learning what each letter represents, the children freely shared their ideas and collaboratively wrote each line of the poem. By thinking, discussing, and listening to one another as a group, they produced a creative piece that reflected both their imagination and teamwork skills. The final product once again demonstrated the value of class spirit and collaborative creation.

Projemiz kapsamında tüm ortaklarımızla gerçekleştirdiğimiz online toplantıda, işbirliğine dayalı eğlenceli bir etkinlik düzenledik. Toplantıda, Worldwall platformu kullanılarak hazırlanan "Tanışma Çarkı" etkinliği ile öğrenciler sırayla çarkı çevirdi ve çıkan soruları yanıtlayarak kendilerini tanıttılar. Etkinlik, öğrencilerin hem kendilerini ifade etmelerine hem de proje ortaklarıyla etkileşim kurarak kaynaşmalarına olanak sağladı.

Bu çark etkinliği, projemizin "İşbirlikçi Ürün" başlığı altında yer almakta olup, katılımcılar arasında samimi bir iletişim kurulmasına katkı sağladı. Tüm proje ortaklarımızın katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen bu etkinlik, projemizin ortak hedeflerine ulaşması yolunda atılmış keyifli ve verimli bir adım oldu.

Collaborative Product with Our Project Partners: Get-to-Know Wheel Activity on Wordwall

As part of our project, we organized an engaging and collaborative activity during an online meeting held with all our partners. In the meeting, students took turns spinning a "Get-to-Know Wheel" prepared on the Wordwall platform and answered the questions that appeared, introducing themselves in a fun and interactive way.

This wheel activity is included under the "Collaborative Product" section of our project and contributed to establishing a warm and friendly interaction among participants. The event, held with the participation of all project partners, was an enjoyable and productive step toward achieving the shared goals of our project.

Yürüttüğümüz eTwinning projesinin değerlendirme aşamasında, öğrencilerimiz ve öğretmenlerimizle birlikte dijital iş birliği araçlarından biri olan Padlet platformunda ortak bir değerlendirme etkinliği gerçekleştirdik. Projeye katılan tüm paydaşlar, oluşturulan ortak Padlet sayfası üzerinden düşüncelerini, duygularını ve önerilerini paylaştı.

Bu etkinlik sayesinde, proje sürecine dair olumlu geri bildirimlerin yanı sıra gelişim alanlarına yönelik yapıcı görüşler de ortaya kondu. Öğrenciler proje süresince en sevdikleri etkinlikleri dile getirirken, öğretmenler ise iş birliği sürecinin mesleki gelişimlerine olan katkılarını vurguladılar.

Katılımcıların farklı bakış açılarını bir araya getiren bu dijital değerlendirme, projeye dair genel memnuniyetin yanı sıra gelecek projeler için de önemli bir yol haritası sundu. Padlet üzerinde yapılan bu etkileşimli çalışma, öğrencilerin dijital ortamda kendilerini ifade etmelerine olanak tanırken aynı zamanda değerlendirme sürecinin de demokratik bir şekilde yürütülmesini sağladı.

Projede yer alan tüm ortak okullardan öğrenciler ve öğretmenler, ortak bir Padlet sayfası üzerinden duygularını, hayal güçlerini ve düşüncelerini şiir dizelerine dönüştürdü.

Her ortak kendi mısrasını ekleyerek, iş birliğiyle ortaya çıkan bu anlamlı şiir, kültürel çeşitliliğin ve yaratıcılığın en güzel örneklerinden biri oldu. Farklı şehirlerden ve okullardan gelen öğrenciler, birbirlerini tamamlayan dizelerle bir bütün oluşturdu. Bu süreçte öğrenciler hem yazılı anlatım becerilerini geliştirdi hem de ortak bir ürünü birlikte oluşturmanın mutluluğunu yaşadı.

Padlet üzerinde yayımlanan şiirlerimiz, proje boyunca gelişen dostluk bağlarını, ortak değerleri ve sanatsal üretimi gözler önüne serdi. Bu etkinlik, öğrenciler arasında dijital ortamda kurulan iş birliğini güçlendirirken aynı zamanda onların duygusal ve estetik gelişimlerine de katkı sağladı.

We have reached the end of our First Step to the Digital World project and at the end of the project, we administered a test to our children with the help of Google Forum. Thanks to this test, we saw how far we have progressed and made a process evaluation.

In the March event of our First Step to the Digital World project, children designed a bridge with materials at home. They both reflected their own dreams and collaborated with their families to include them in the project progress. Parental participation was a great support for the children.

eTwinning projemiz kapsamında gerçekleştirdiğimiz etkinlikleri, öğrencilerin akademik gelişimlerini desteklemek amacıyla güncel öğretim programıyla ilişkilendirdik. Her bir etkinlik, farklı ders alanlarıyla örtüşecek şekilde planlandı ve öğrencilerin ders kazanımlarını pekiştirecek nitelikte tasarlandı.

Hazırlanan yeni “Müfredatla İlişkilendirme” afişinde, internet güvenliği, kodlama, proje logosu ve müzik gibi birçok etkinlik; bilişim teknolojileri, matematik, görsel sanatlar, müzik ve hayat bilgisi derslerinin hedef kazanımlarıyla eşleştirildi. Bu sayede öğrenciler, hem proje sürecinde aktif yer alırken hem de öğrendiklerini gerçek hayatla bağlantı kurarak deneyimlediler.

Bu çalışma aynı zamanda işbirlikçi ürün olarak ortaya çıktı.

In April, we organized an event with an introduction wheel. With this wheel, children introduced themselves with the questions that came out by spinning the wheel.

This work also emerged as a collaborative product.

As part of our project, we completed our joint poetry writing activity. When the students completed each verse, they experienced a common writing and emotional unity. The children had a lot of fun with this enjoyable activity. They both had fun and achieved artistic and cultural development.

In order to exhibit and disseminate the work we have done within the scope of our project, we held our exhibition with the participation of the administrators of the surrounding schools and our provincial deputy director of national education. Our exhibition, which attracted great attention, also attracted attention in the surrounding schools throughout the province.

Our project attracted great attention and was covered in the press, thus achieving success in dissemination. The news, which took up a large space in the newspaper, included the work done by the children, project goals and output products.

Scratch programı ile matematiğe ve analitik düşünmeye, çark etkinliği ile türkçe ve dil yeteneğine, logo, afiş, broşür tasarımında resme, şiir ve şarkı ortak çalışmaları ile de sanatsal çalışmalara katkı sağlamış olduk.

Çocuklar bu sayede bütüncül düşünmeyi, ortak çalışmayı ve fikir üretmeyi başarıyla ilerlettiler.

We identified the subject of our project with our basic courses and thus we achieved interdisciplinary learning.

We contributed to mathematics and analytical thinking with the Scratch program, to Turkish and language skills with the wheel activity, to painting in logo, poster, brochure design, and to artistic works with poetry and song collaborations.

In this way, children successfully advanced holistic thinking, collaboration, and idea generation.

During the evaluation phase of our project, all project stakeholders made evaluations via Padlet. Thanks to this joint evaluation, stakeholders who made a self-evaluation also made a general evaluation about the process. This environment where everyone expressed themselves objectively was very important for the correct evaluation of the project.

U Osnovnoj školi "Kiseljak 1" Bilalovac održan je eTwinning info dan posvećen eTwinning platformi, pod nazivom "Građansko obrazovanje: Slavimo ono što nas ujedinjuje".

Događaj je okupio brojne nastavnike i stručne saradnike iz različitih škola Srednjobosanskog kantona, s ciljem promocije eTwinninga kao evropske platforme koja povezuje škole, unapređuje nastavu, podstiče saradnju i njeguje vrijednosti građanskog obrazovanja, solidarnosti i evropskog zajedništva.

Projemize başlamadan önce, öğrencilerimizin mevcut bilgi düzeylerini ölçmek ve proje boyunca hangi konulara daha fazla odaklanmamız gerektiğini belirlemek amacıyla bir ön test hazırladık. Bu testi, Google Forms kullanarak kolay erişilebilir ve kullanıcı dostu bir şekilde tasarladık. Öğrencilerimize online olarak uyguladığımız bu ön test, onların proje konusundaki bilgi seviyelerini görmemizi sağladı ve eksikliklerini tespit ederek projeyi daha verimli planlamamıza yardımcı oldu. Bu sayede, öğrencilerimizin projeye daha bilinçli ve hazırlanmış bir şekilde başlamalarını sağladık. Ayrıca, elde edilen veriler sayesinde, proje süresince hangi alanlarda daha fazla destek sağlamamız gerektiğini belirledik ve eğitim stratejilerimizi buna göre uyarladık.

Before starting our project, we prepared a pre-test to measure our students' existing knowledge levels and to determine which topics we need to focus on more throughout the project. We designed this test using Google Forms, making it easily accessible and user-friendly. We administered this pre-test online to our students, which allowed us to see their knowledge levels on the project topic and identify their deficiencies, helping us plan the project more efficiently. This way, we ensured that our students began the project in a more informed and prepared manner. Additionally, the data obtained helped us determine which areas required more support during the project and adapt our educational strategies accordingly.

Dijital Dünya’ya İlk Adım” projemizi başarıyla tamamladık. Projemizin sonunda öğrencilerimize Google Form aracılığıyla bir değerlendirme testi uyguladık. Bu test sayesinde öğrencilerimizin dijital güvenlik, bilinçli internet kullanımı ve temel dijital beceriler konularında ne kadar yol katettiklerini görme fırsatımız oldu. Süreç boyunca hem öğrencilerimizin ilgisi hem de velilerimizin desteği bizleri çok mutlu etti. Tüm öğrencilerimi emekleri ve gösterdikleri gelişim için yürekten kutluyorum.

We have successfully completed our “First Step into the Digital World” project. At the end of the project, we administered an assessment test to our students via Google Forms. Through this test, we had the opportunity to observe how much progress our students had made in areas such as digital safety, conscious internet use, and basic digital skills. Throughout the process, both the interest shown by our students and the support of their families made us very happy. Dijital Dünya’ya İlk Adım eTwinning projesi kapsamında, Mart ayı etkinliğimizde öğrencilerimizle doğayı keşfe çıktık. İlk olarak sınıf ortamında bitkinin yaşam döngüsü ve ihtiyaçları üzerine görsel sunumlar yapan öğrencilerimiz, edindikleri bilgileri uygulamaya dökerek ağaç dikme etkinliği gerçekleştirdi. Hem öğrenip hem de doğaya katkı sağlayan bu anlamlı çalışma, minik yüreklerde çevre bilinci tohumları yeşertti.

As part of our eTwinning project A First Step into the Digital World, we explored nature with our students for our march activity. To begin with, our students gave visual presentations in class about the life cycle of a plant and what it needs to grow. Then, putting their knowledge into practice, they participated in a tree-planting activity. This meaningful experience not only helped them learn but also nurtured seeds of environmental awareness in their little hearts.

As part of the project we carried out throughout April, our students were assigned a home-based task to design and build a bridge using wooden spatulas and similar materials. In this meaningful activity, students came together with their families at home, unleashing their creativity while also experiencing the spirit of teamwork. First, they designed what their bridges would look like, then gathered the necessary materials and began implementing their plans. Students completed the cutting, gluing, and assembling stages with the support of their families. Working in collaboration, they successfully created their own bridges. The resulting unique designs showcased not only the students’ manual skills but also their imagination.

Halise Hanım’ın rehberliğinde, öğrenciler Scratch kullanarak etkileşimli hikayeler, animasyonlar ve oyunlar geliştirdiler. Her dersin sonunda, öğrenciler yaptıkları projeleri sınıf arkadaşlarına sunarak geri bildirim aldılar ve projelerini geliştirdiler. Bu süreçte öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşünme ve problem çözme yetenekleri gözle görülür şekilde arttı.

Eğitim süreci boyunca öğrenciler, grup çalışmaları yaparak birlikte projeler geliştirdiler ve bu sayede takım çalışması becerilerini de geliştirdiler. Ayın sonunda ise tüm sınıf olarak büyük bir heyecanla hazırladıkları oyun projelerini sundular. Her öğrenci kendi oyununu oynayarak, diğer öğrencilerin oyunlarını da deneyimledi.

Bu süreç, öğrenciler için hem eğitici hem de eğlenceli bir deneyim oldu. Halise Taşçı’nın rehberliği sayesinde öğrenciler, Scratch programıyla tanışarak programlama konusundaki becerilerini artırdılar ve teknolojiyi yaratıcı bir şekilde kullanmayı öğrendiler. Ayrıca, bu süreçte kazandıkları bilgi ve beceriler, onların ileride karşılaşacakları teknolojik problemlere daha kolay çözüm üretmelerine yardımcı olacak.

Throughout January, we invited Halise Taşçı, a Computer Science teacher from a high school under the Ministry of National Education, to our class to teach the Scratch program through practical application. Ms. Halise came to our class on specified days each week, introducing the Scratch program to students and providing detailed instructions on how to use it. In the initial lessons, information was given about the program's basic features and interface. Then, students began learning the fundamentals of programming by creating their own projects.

Under Ms. Halise's guidance, students developed interactive stories, animations, and games using Scratch. At the end of each lesson, students presented their projects to their classmates, received feedback, and improved their projects. This process visibly enhanced students' creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Throughout the education period, students worked in groups to develop projects together, thus improving their teamwork skills. At the end of the month, they presented the game projects they had prepared with great excitement. Each student played their own game and experienced the games created by other students.

This process was both educational and enjoyable for the students. Thanks to Halise Taşçı’s guidance, the students became acquainted with the Scratch program, improving their programming skills and learning to use technology creatively. Additionally, the knowledge and skills they acquired during this process will help them more easily solve technological problems they may encounter in the future.
