The confederate started it and attacked the union along this little river known as Bull Run and thats where the name comes from</p><p><br/></p><p>Winner</p><p>Confederate</p><p><br/></p><p>Casualties</p><p>Union:2,896</p><p>Confederate:1,982</p><p><br/></p><p>Significance </p><p>It was the first "big" battle of the civil war, and after this fight the Union and the Confederate or the North and the South realized that this was the first of many battles and might be a while til they see peace.</p>]]></description>
