This picture perfectly represents how photosynthesis is used in the environment. Plants have tubes called xylem that sucks up water from the ground and is drawn up into the leaves. The xylem then transports vital nutrients throughout the entire plant. On the leaves of plants there are somata which are responsible for the exchange of gases. Carbon dioxide enters, while oxygen is released. When water, carbon dioxide and sunlight are combined the cycle of photosynthesis takes place. Resulting in the continuation of life for all living things.

This video explains photosynthesis perfectly. It goes from explaining the three factors that help photosynthesis take place. These reactants are sunlight, water and carbon dioxide. It goes into explaining how the minerals and water are sucked up through the xylem and spread throughout the plant nourishing it. Carbon dioxide then passes through the small pores on the leaves called stomata. Here Sunlight, water and carbon dioxide combine and create oxygen and glucose (sugar). Then the cycle repeats.

The Botrychium virginianum or Rattlesnake Fern is a very common fern throughout Georgia. This Fern is thin and large with non leathery leaves. This fern has a large single frond that is 12 to 18 inches tall. The fern got its name from the cluster of spores that favor that of the rattlesnake tail. This frond is what makes it stand out amoungst other ferns in Georgia; especially in the summer.

lockerly.org/newsletters/newletter%2032%20vol%203.pdf

The tundra biome in the Artic circle close to the North Pole is in alot of ecological danger due to the increase of human population. The tundra here is very sensitive and has evolved in many ways to adapt and protect its environment. With the increase in foot traffic came the increase of towns and roads. The tracks from the trucks caused destruction of plants permafrost and the feeding patterns of the animals and organisms that live here. People have began to protest these miners destruction to this particular pattern, because if they it may not be able to rehabilitate.

The Neolithic Revolution was a slow process that began around 10,000 B.C.E. and marked the beginning of civilization. It transformed a nomadic hunter-gatherer to a settled, agricultural, and production based way of living. With this new agricultural development and settlement came the domestication of animals. Humans soon learned that these animals were beneficial to their growing populations in many ways. They provided humans with milk, eggs and meat for food. Their fur was used for warmth, clothing, and etc. Lastly they made farming easier by their ability to plow and fertilize their soil with their manure. https://soapboxie.com/social-issues/Neolithic-Revolution-Effects-and-Consequences-of-Global-Warming-for-Modern-Civilization

The state of agriculture in the 1700's hadn't progressed much. Many civilizations were still using the same farming techniques and technology. In result they were still experiencing failed crops; which led to famine. Lets fast forward to the 18th century were methods of science in regards to agricultural production started to take off. The Invention of the seed drill, plow and hand reaper really helped to produce better yields in the fields. Later in the mid 1900's the green revolution came in to play. The invention of fertilizer, pesticides and irrigation helped multiply agricultural output in result saving millions of lives and helped societies become moretechnologically advanced.

The world not only loves COFFEE (caffeine), but it medically needs caffeine!! Coffee was first discovered in the 11th century by a goat herder named Kaldi who noticed that his goats became extremely hyper after consuming these berries. For many years people believed that coffee caused many growth and heart related issues, but now that claim has changed. I believe coffee is the most influential chemical, because it has helped prevent diseases like the stroke and many kind of cancers. It also has lowered the risk of dementia and Alzheimer's, helped boost memory and it has cut down the risk of suicide.

This picture perfectly portrays what our future planet will look like if we don't take economical, social and political actions to change the deadly direction its going in. As you can see from the picture on the left; this is how everyone believes are world looks like today, because they think its up to environmentalist and the government to take care of the planet we are destroying. The picture on the right however perfectly illustrates the path our worlds agriculture and economy is actually going down. As you can see in the picture the polluting factories have not only caused an extinction of our animals, but its killed off the one thing that keeps us alive, our agriculture. So unless we take action now and start practicing these factors of sustainability, it will only lead us to our own self-destruction and life as we know it will come to an end.
