Like what it says in the song "what doesnt kill makes you a fighter footsteps even lighter", even though Louie was hit and hit hard and almost beaten to death he came back harder the next day ready to fight for his life. "Louie stood in the sun, holding the beam. The bird stretched over the roof, calling to passing guards, pointing to Louie and laughing. Louie locked his eyes on the Bird's face, seething...Five more mintues passed, the ten. Louie's arms went numb. He shook. The beam tipped. The guard jabbed, him and he straightened... All he knew was a single thought: He cannot break me."

It also said that even if he though he hit a wall an obstacle in his life he still pushed through and had that strong spirit to survive. Without him powering through this moment of pain he would no have been known the way we know him now. "A lifetime of glory is worth a momney of pain"

In this story it says that a ship was sunken and was filled with POWS and that they hung on anything to survive. Even though they had the chance to die they decided to find that fighting spirit to live and fought what ever obstacle came their way  they took full one. "The men had been adrift for twenty-seven days. […] The men's bodies were pocked with salt sores, and their lips were so swollen that they pressed into their nostrils and chins."
