This section of the book is about the adventurous experience of the author and his friends. Through this  section the author describes about their experiences in their journey through the glaciers and about  many incidents that occurred during their travelling and the ample amount of fun and enjoyment they had there.

THEME: In this story 'The Glacier' by Ruskin Bond, four boys Anil,     Kamal, Bisnu and the writer himself, young and hungry for adventure,seek out on a mountain trekking expedition. Admist    the dew clothed short grass, blue and pink alpine flowers, waterfalls, caves, snow covered glaciers all in more than ten   thousand feet above the sea level, are home to snow leopards, bears, Abominable Snowmen and even a mysterios women 'Lidini'. Braving thunderstorms, sunbathing in the snow reflected sunlight, accompanied by a great golden eagle, the boys had ample fun. But the twist comes in when when their route to home were swept away by landslide. Now they will have to cross the glacier and take a dangerous path long abandoned by the traders from Tibet.

             Chowkidar: dak bunglow's gaurd, warm and caring.
             
BACKGROUND: The story starts from a dak bunglow situated in Kapkote. The place is rich in greenery and tourist place for      village tourism.The routes around the glaciers were used by traders from Tibet.
