It's quite fun to interact with the elderly and hear their stories. I learned that like there are many unfortunate people out there that don't really have the things we do. We must appreciate whatever that we have right now. The event was quite interesting overall and I would definitely like to join this again.

Firstly, volunteering need not be such a big thing. Every small efforts we take lead to great impacts. Secondly, volunteering is not only useful for the beneficiaries but also the volunteers themselves. The beneficiaries get the help they need and the volunteers get to build their character to become much more patient and compassionate individuals.

There are people who are still living in poverty or not doing well enough in the society. This experience has opened my eyes to the living of these people. From here, I realise I should be grateful for what I have, and I have try to aid these people with the best I could. I wish to volunteer if there is any upcoming or new activity. I am happy to lend a helping hand and learn from this kind of experience whenever I get a chance to.

This experience was extremely meaningful to me. I managed to see a glimpse of the day-to-day lives of locals in Singapore and it allowed me to have more awareness for those living in conditions that are not as fulfilling as others. I was happy to pass the care packs to the residents as they seemed thankful toward us and were kind. I would certainly join similar events!

I've learnt how many people need our help as many are no longer having jobs to be able to sustain living. I've also learnt that the majority of seniors in Singapore have little to no social interaction with anyone and that this would genuinely help them and bring a smile to their faces

It was great to have an opportunity to interact with the elderlies who have a low income. My take-away is that doing an activity like this isn't just for the via hours but also for making sure that people who require help gets what they need. I would absolutely love to participate in the Taman Jurong CC again as my experience from today was very enjoyable.

I learned that there are many less fortunate people still struggling to buy daily necessities and having a good and comfortable house so I should be grateful for all the things I have. I shouldn't take the things I have for granted. I would like to join more volunteering activities in the future.

I found this experience quite enjoyable and heart-warming as it was not only just giving them carepacks and going off to the next house to give to the rest. Its about how I was able to make their day with some chats with each other even though some was quite short. I felt that seeing their smile on their faces when they saw us giving them the carepacks really made my day as it showed me that what we were doing was very meaningful to them and that they appreciated it a lot, and I also learn that I should try to be more grateful for what I have instead of taking them for granted.

I enjoy the time interacting with different people. Through this, I have learned that we should be more appropriate for what we are having and enjoying now. I love this kind of activity so much!!!!!! I would definitely join it again.

I really get to know more about people with financial needs and that giving care packs or chatting with them will truly make their day. I learn that we should always extend our kindness to people with financial needs because they are important to us and we should try our best to help them with what we have. To see them smile is also very heart-warming! I would like to participate in future volunteering activities.

I've learnt that we should be grateful for what we have. I've also learnt that helping others can actually help ourselves as well. Everytime I handed the package, the smile that they showed made me smile too. I was not expecting them to be so happy when I handed them the package. I've learnt that even a small act of kindness can give a big impact. I would like to volunteer again if I had the opportunity to do so.

This activity has helped me better understand the lives of different people in the community. Some live alone and a small interaction with them can light up their day. It was lovely to see the reactions of the residents as we distributed the care packs to them. I would certainly wish to join these volunteer activities organised by HCIBS again.
