Ever since the pandemic started till even now, many have lost their jobs due to retrenchment, a pay cut, or even be on no pay leave. As a result impacting individuals greatly as their only source of income might be cut off completely. Hence with the implementation of the UBI, people are able to receive a stable basic income at the very least, to ensure that they are still able to sustain a living for themselves and their family. Especially for those with low monthly income,they would not have sufficient savings to last them a few months without any source of income. It would also be difficult for them to acquire help economically since they have to go through a series of procedures to be deemed qualified for financial assistance.
