By conquering land in Europe the Arab army thought it would help the religion become dominant, although a loss in present day Spain ensured the dominance of Christianity in Europe.

        The Holy Land is an area roughly located between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea that also includes the Eastern Bank of the Jordan River. The Holy Land is known as Jerusalem. The problem was that the Turks and the Arabs already had control of it because of a previous Invasion. The Turks and Arabs didn't want to give up the land because they were Christians. Also, the Turks and Arabs started persecuting the Christians anywhere they could find them.
