Stanley wanted Zero to be okay when he had been negatively affected by sploosh, but Zero collapsed halfway up Big Thumb, so Stanley had to carry Zero up the mountain, where he found water and gave it to Zero, while singing the song that Madame Zeroni wanted Elya Yelnats to sing to her. Then, since Stanley carried Zero up the mountain and sang to him the song, the curse on the Yelnats family was broken.

Plot:

Stanley is falsely accused of a crime and is sentenced to go to Camp Green Lake, where there is no green and definitely no lake. Stanley meets Zero, a boy who doesn't have much to say, and he gets into a routine at camp. One day while teaching Zero how to write, Zero tells Stanley that his real name is Hector Zeroni, which gives Stanley a flashback that Madame Zeroni was the gypsy who put a curse on the Yelnats. When Zero starts talking, and the counselors are making fun of him, Zero hits one of the counselors with a shovel and runs away. A day or two later, Stanley goes after him by attempting to steal the water truck, but he runs it into a hole. Stanley eventually finds Zero, and they make their way to Big Thumb. Zero can't make it, so Stanley had to carry Zero up the mountain, where Stanley found water and food to give to Zero. He sung Zero the special song, breaking the curse that was put on the Yelnats family, and then they went back to the camp and dug up treasure that had Stanley's name on it, and then were trapped in a hole with poisonous lizards, and then they were rescued, and the Warden was arrested, and Stanley and Zero were free. Stanley and Zero had a party at Stanley's new house, because in the suitcase, there were gems and stock certificates worth lots, Zero found his mom using his share of the money, and Stanley's father's invention took off.

Mr. Sir introduces Stanley to Camp Green Lake and tells him that he has to dig a 5 - foot cubed square every day. Then, Stanley finds a lipstick tube in his hole, and then another boy takes credit for finding it the next day. Stanley starts teaching a boy named Zero to write in exchange for digging part of his hole. Then, one day when the counselors are teasing Zero, Zero retaliates and hits one of the counselors with a shovel and runs off. The next day, Stanley goes to find him. They then climbed up Big Thumb, and Stanley carried Zero up the mountain because he couldn't do it, breaking the curse on the Yelnats family.

Climax:

Stanley and Zero leave Big Thumb and go back to Camp Green Lake to find out if there was more than just a lipstick tube in Stanley's hole. Then, while digging, Stanley finds a treasure chest, and then they are caught by the Warden, and then they realize that they are trapped in a hole with dastardly yellow spotted lizards.

Falling Action:

Stanley's lawyer comes and rescues Zero and Stanley, and they get released, and then the Warden tries to take the chest, but it has Stanley's name on it, and then the Warden and her staff get arrested, and next Camp Green Lake gets shut down, and all the boys there are freed.

I rate this book 10/10 stars because it is an awesome book, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants something good to read.

My favorite scene is when Stanley tried to steal the water truck but crashed it into a hole because he doesn't know how to drive, and he wasn't looking where he was going.

The warden got arrested, and then Stanley and Zero had a party at Stanley's new house, and in the suitcase, there were gems and stock certificates worth lots of money, and with his share of the money, Zero hired a team of private investigators to find his mom, and also, Stanley's father's new invention was a big hit. It was called Sploosh.
