<title>This can be as simple as a quick check-in. I do short check-ins with students using the chat feature. Sometimes, we use Waterfall and sometimes they send a direct message. They can be as detailed as you like. I like to do thumbs up or down OR have students say 1 thing they learned and 1 thing they have a question about.</title>

<title>A mini-assessment needs to flow with the lesson. There are times that the mini-assessment can come at the end like an exit ticket. Other times, you need to be more intentional with it. For example, you may build it into your lesson before/during a work session. It varies based on what you are assessing and the purpose for it.</title>
