She worked in defense of the farmer cultivating coca crops and helped the implementation of the government programs meant to substitute the coca crops with alternative ones.

There are already a total of 214 social leaders and human rights defenders have been murdered in Colombia since January 2017 to date.

The organizations demanded President Juan Manuel Santos to guarantee properly the society's participation in the implementation of the peace accords signed with Colombia's former guerrilla group FARC, and to investigate the murder

The presidential candidates who participated in this debate were the four candidates that participated in the debate were Iván Duque, Gustavo Petro, Sergio Fajardo and Germán Vargas Lleras. Humberto de la Calle did not participate as his flight had been delayed due to severe weather conditions.

Top five of Colombia's most popular national parks:

1) CORALES DEL ROSARIO:
The white beaches and proximity to the tourist hotspot Cartagena make special this park.

2) TAYRONA PARK:
It lies on the foothills of another nature reserve, the Sierra nevada de Santa Marta.

3) THE NEVADOS:
It is home to some of Colombia's most active volcanues and all three of the country's last- remaining glaciers.

4) CAROTA ISLAND:
It may be Colombia's smallest nature reserve.

5) SIERRA NEVADA:
This park is the only one that goes from the Caribbean sea level to the cpuntry's highest peak, the pico Cristobal Colón.
