The Taliban wants to enforce sharia, or Islamic law. People get on the Taliban side because they are scared, they just had a earthquake that they thought was a warning from God and if they didn't enforce sharia there would be more severe punishment would come. They also caused lots of trouble. For example, Malala fought against the Taliban for girl's rights and education because they were bombing schools and had woman wearing burqas in public. As well, women had to go out with male relative.
