Paulina waits at home for her husband as the food she prepared gets cold. Gerardo comes home in a different car, prompting Paulina to be wary as she is unfamiliar with the other person. Gerardo comes inside and informs Paulina that his tire has been broken and implies its her fault as she didnt check. He informs her that there is a new job offer by the president where he will be working in a task force to compile evidence against murderers. Paulina is hesitant at first as he is putting down non-murder victims as less important, but after he promises that his work will benefit all victims she agrees.
