<title>1. Be alert to the unsaid, students will not always voice concerns or tell you that they don&#39;t understand or are unsure. They need to be comfortable to tell you what is going on in their mind. 2. Linked with the above, be available to them, have open office hours, have realistic appointment times, practice active listening3. Team teaching - students will be more comfortable with different teachers (age, gender, ethnicity) so if you teach with colleagues you increase the chance that a student will feel comfortable to approach someone for help4. On a more practical note, make sure students are clear about how they will be assessed5. Do what you say, deliver on your promises</title>
