When I enrolled in my course of uniformed protective services, I messaged my old teacher to let her know I did not want to continue with my A-Levels as I originally wanted to give them a go last year. However, even though I was doing well I was not enjoying them and decided I wanted to change the course. I then arranged an interview with the boss of the course I wanted to do and communicated well by arranging this interview over the phone. I then went to the other building of the college and did my interview and I communicated well as I was confident, chatty, and asked many questions to get to know what I was going to be doing better. Furthermore, that day I then started my course as my group was currently in college, therefore, I went to my first lesson that day where I communicated with my new classmates and teachers and got to know everyone by communicating with them. 

Job Interview: During my job interview, I communicated well by also speaking clearly and confidently to the manager, and even though I was nervous, I communicated with the other employees that I would be working with. When speaking to the manager, I made sure to stay bubbly and chatty and I felt comfortable speaking to a lot of new people at once. 

Dealing with a complaint: At my current job, sometimes, customers make complaints about different things. When a customer makes a complaint ect, I communicate well by being polite, sympathetic, and understanding towards them. I then usually offer them to speak to a manager or take, fr example, their dessert off of their bill.

When I spoke to my teachers and when I went to my interview, I spoke well and was confident which I was happy with. 

Something I could have done better, was researching my other options when I was thinking about my original course starting last year. Red nose day is a nationwide day which is used to raise money for people and charities that need it to improve other people's lives. Most people raised money by taking part in fun activities and buying red noses to wear for £1. This included colouring red nose pictures, with £1 to do each colouring. I also took part in different activities other students had created which included the ice bucket challenge on the teachers and wheelchair racing. I showed social responsibility because I helped raise money for people who are in need of it by taking part in different activities and also making our own to help raise money. 
WHAT WE COULD IMPROVE; We could have printed more outlines to colour as we didn't have many and we could have promoted it to get more people to come to our activity. 

I also helped out at a snooker charity match at my work. it was a 24-hour snooker competition, and I helped out during some matches. I also donated to charity to show social responsibility by trying to help in the community. 

finally, to show social responsibility i have taken part in class learning about radicalisation and grooming so i can be aware of this myself and spot signs if people in the community or my friends and family are showing signs of this. ]]> 2022-03-25 11:17:57 UTC https://padlet.com/daniellajohnson1/Bookmarks/wish/2113609355 daniellajohnson1 https://padlet.com/daniellajohnson1/Bookmarks/wish/2113629997 I have used teamwork skills in and out of college many times. In college we do different activities which require teamwork on my course. One example of this was when we had to crack a code during a role play of an attack on England. The situation was an enemy had a planned attack on our base and we had to figure out as a team who was attacking us, where and when they were attacking us. I worked as a team well as i listened to what other people had to say but also had my input and didn't leave it to the rest of my team. I could have improved by working quicker as it took us a while to figure it out. 

Another time I worked well in a team was my cheerleading outside of college. I am a flyer, therefore, I have to listen to what my team are saying and my coach in order to make sure myself or somebody else doesn't get injured when doing stunts. I have to have confidence and trust in the people catching me and I also have to tell them if something isn't working for me. 

Finally, another time I used teamwork was when we filmed our citizenship and diversity video for an advert for the army. I listened to my group in what we should do and i also added my part into what we could include in the video. I also took part in creating the video and we used different ideas to create our advert. Me and my team had to replicate different objects using pipes and things which connect them. I led my team by giving them ideas in which we could make the best object to win against the other team. My group took on some of my ideas and it did work as we won the challenge

This shows motivation because I am also working to earn my own money aswell as college.

attendance at college; I have kept a good attendance and came to every lesson I could. this shows motivation because i have kept going at college and persevered to get the grades that I need. 

exam revision: for my government exam I have revised and made PowerPoints in order to do my best. Plastic straws: I don’t use plastic straws as much as I can because they are bad for the environment and harmful to sea life. 

Public transport: i use public transportation as much as possible because it has less of a carbon footprint and is better for cities and environment
