Same with hallucinations - many groups of teachers I have worked with have little generative AI experience and have difficulty understanding the issue. I think during the hands-on or demos, while we can show the speed and outputs of AI for prompts, we can also show checking for hallucinations, encouraging initial tries at prompting with something the user knows well, so that they will be able to evaluate the output (for example, if they are really into a hobby or topic, prompt and ask questions of AI about that hobby or topic)</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I believe it would be beneficial for teachers to have access to subject-specific training that demonstrates how AI can be used to support student learning. While many teachers are familiar with using AI for lesson planning, they often struggle with integrating AI in a way that helps students engage with the content while also developing AI literacy skills. Providing targeted training would give teachers the opportunity to explore practical strategies and apply them in their classrooms. For example, Jen Graham shared how an ELA teacher used AI to provide student feedback on their writing, which then allowed her to establish targeted one-on-one sessions to address specific areas where students needed support. This is a great example of AI enhancing student learning, but teachers need training on how to develop and implement similar AI strategies. Additionally, they need guidance on effectively using AI-generated output/data to inform and adjust their instruction.</p>]]></description>

They also use text evidence to create prompts to get an image of the characters from the book. </p><p><br/></p><p>In Spanish we used the AI Image Generator in Padlet to practice writing sentences with their vocabulary (in spanish) the students had to tweak their sentences and descriptions in spanish to get the images they wanted. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Science labs where participants used fake blood typing, white powder testing, etc...
