         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students,<br>Below you will see the directions for creating your group presentation.&nbsp; I have listed out the guidelines and requirements for the presentation.&nbsp; Please make sure to share your presentation with me (allow me to view) as you begin working.&nbsp; <strong>Make sure you view all documents below before you start working!!</strong><br><br>Learning Goals and Objectives:<br>Goals, Learning and Teaching Objectives<br><br></div><div>Goal 1:&nbsp; Students will be able to develop their own analysis of Doubt though proficient use of Padlet. <em>Standard 11-12.1 Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text, including determining where the text leaves matters uncertain<br></em><br></div><div>Learning Objective 1:1 Given specific directions, the high school student will be able to demonstrate proper use of Padlet to create text, imagery, and citations by creating a visual as measured by rubric.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Learning Objective 1:2 Given specific instructions, the high school student will be able to provide contextual analysis through proficient use of Padlet as measured by rubric. Illinois State<em>.<br></em><br></div><div>Goal 2:&nbsp; Students will work collaboratively and provide feedback to each other through use of Padlet. <em>Standard 11-12.2 Determine two or more themes or central ideas of a text and analyze their development over the course of the text, including how they interact and build on one another to produce a complex account; provide an objective summary of the text.<br></em><br></div><div>Learning Objective: 2:1&nbsp; Given specific directions, the high school student will be able to work collaboratively with peers through use of Padlet by commenting and critiquing with at least 1 other team member measured by rubric.<br><br></div><div>Learning Objective: 2:2 Given specific instructions, the high school student will be able to respond to teacher comments through use of Padlet as measured by teacher rubric.<br><br></div><div>Goal 3:&nbsp; Students will be able to communicate through Padlet and create a functional visual presentation.&nbsp; <em>Speaking and Listening Illinois Standard 11-12.1 Initiate and participate effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (oneon-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grades 11–12 topics, texts, and issues, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly and persuasively.<br></em><br></div><div>Learning Objective 3:1 Given specific instructions, the high school student will communicate with group members through Padlet, as evaluated through rubric<br><br></div><div>Learning Objective 3:2 Given specific instructions, the high school student will create a visual presentation with their group, as evaluated by rubric.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Expectation Timeline</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Day 1: Students will be introduced with the argumentative piece and given a side to take in the decision between our two main characters.&nbsp; Students can begin on day 1, writing up the foundation to their argument, collecting contact information from partners in their group, and setting a time frames when their group members can work on the project<br><br>Day 2-3:&nbsp; Students will begin the research aspect of the presentation.&nbsp; They will have the next 1-2 days to research professional articles and journals that discuss major points in the child abuse scandals involving our Catholic Church.&nbsp; **Best to begin your work Cited page at this point<br><br>&nbsp;Day 4: Students will begin to utilize any number of Padlets to begin working.&nbsp; The Padlet should address all areas of the rubric and the directions provided above<br><br>Day 5-6: Students are expected to turn in a completed presentation by the end of the week and be prepared to present this project to the entire class.</div>]]></description>
