         <title>Doctopus / Goobric</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hey all. I decided to write out the instructions for using Doctopus and Goobric. Enjoy.<br><br>** The first time you run this, you will be asked a number of times to accept permissions from the various programs. Accept them all.<br><br>1 - create blank rubric in gSheets<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Launch the Doctopus add-on<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Select Mode: Ingest a Google Classroom Assignment<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Choose the Class and Assignment<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- (Optional) Only ingest files that are "Turned In"<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Ingest Assignment<br><br>2 - Attach Goobric (top left of doctopus frame)<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- choose the rubric you will be using (this must be a different name then the one Goobric creates)<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- unclick the bottom choice (our students can't receive any emails)<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Attach Rubric<br><br>3 - on the Sheet, hover your cursor over the blue hyperlink that says "Assess File" and then click on the link that pops up<br><br>4 - use the rubric to assess<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- in the top right box:<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- uncheck the top box about email students<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- ensure the middle box "Change student...." is checked<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- bottom box can be checked or not depending on your preference<br><br>5 - calculate grade in the "Grade" column<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- type the following: =SUM(<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- click the first cell that contains a the first number to be added. Likely it will be N2<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- hold down the shift key and then click the last number in the row that will be added and then with the shift key still down, type 0 (the closed parenthesis will appear)<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;-&nbsp; press Enter<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- in the bottom right corner of the highlighted cell (the one that now has a grade in it), you'll see a blue square. Click and hold on it. Drag it down through the column until you get to the end of the student list. Let go of the mouse button. You should now see grades there for each student</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Google Forms for Signouts</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Anyone played around with instrument signout through google forms?<br><br>Here's a template I created. <br><br>As with all forms, it creates a spreadsheet with a timestamp of when the instrument was signed out.<br><br>Shorten the link with <a href="https://bitly.com/">https://bitly.com/</a> and put in on your board. Now everyone signs out their instruments on devices. Works great on phones too.</div>]]></description>
