Alba Escayo was born in Asturias, Spain in 1981. She lives in Aranjuez. Travelling and discovering new places is an inspirational force in her work.

Her work is present in museums, public, and private collections. Escayo has been selected for many art residencies and collaborated on international projects. Escayo has had several solo and collective exhibitions throughout Madrid, Singapore,Balkans, France, and Portugal, among many other venues.

Vibrant, masterful, and implicitly expressionistic, Alba Escayo’s paintings converge artistic ingenuity with new media principles in practice which is entirely contemporary. With reference to natural elements, oceanic-landscapes, and travel iconography, Escayo’s painterly collage work is a reinterpretation of the artists international travels.

Quand la vie nous entoure de senteurs agréables, de beauté, de tranquilité, c’est le bonheur. L’odeur de la rose symbolise la propreté, sa couleur la gaieté et sa beauté le calme.

L’oiseau est perché sur la branche verte d’un arbre et nous transmet le calme et les belles couleurs du printemps.

Les petits tableaux montrent des attitudes quotidiennes et forment un tout harmonieux.

Ana et Sabina: l’aube du printemps / le reveil des oiseaux (el alba de la primavera / el despertar de los pájaros)

Nous croyons que les oiseaux ont des ombres parce que c’est l’aube d’un jour de printemps.

La couleur blanche la plus utilisée par l’artiste nous fait penser à la neige. Les autres coups de pinceaux colores semblent des fleurs d’hiver comme les perce-neige ou les edelweiss.

Maite, Bel, Miguel: coups de pinceaux sur la nature (pinceladas sobre la naturaleza)

Les tons bleus, mauves et gris dominent, rapellant les couleurs d’une carrière, d’un jardín ou directement de l’environnement rural. Par les coups de pinceaux ocres qui rappellent le blé ou l’orge.

Un merle sur une branche est clairement visible et pourrait se trouver dans un champ de blé.

Moreover, the composition of colours allow us to enjoy this natures work in a new astonishing way.

They all have only one bird in one edge of the square. This composition pattern lets us identifiy the pictures as a series. Besides, the coulours in grey scale make me feel relaxed and calm.

I remember the spring ,summer, sun, light, the longs days, the good weather etc.

I feel really happy when I look at it

In the first one, I can see a bird, it has blueish black colours and it’ s on

a black branch of a tree with

pink and purple colours.

Moreover, it seems to be spring, I think so, because the pictures have brilliant tones.

In the other painting, I can see

a bird, too. It has several colours, such as, brown,pink and red.

Furthermore, the bird is on

a brown branch with green leaves.

From my point of view, I think that the

bird is female.

Besides that, these paintings show freedom in the image.

Some of the leaves are light green and the other ones are dark green. The branch of the tree is brown, and it has fruits, so I think it’s spring. 

When I look at this picture it makes me feel excited because the colours are very intense, and I feel the summer is coming. It makes me feel happy because summer is my favourite season of the year.

Here is my description of the painting about the bird:

In the bottom left corner of the painting, there is a black bird. Its shadow extends onto the ground, creating a fine balance of light and darkness. Occupying a significant portion of the canvas are several plants, sharing the same soft tone as the bird's shadow. The vegetation adds depth and texture to the composition, contributing to the overall harmony of the artwork.

The contrast between the dark bird and the surrounding elements creates a fascinating visual balance within the frame.

In the centre, there is a little bird on a branch with beautiful and pink flowers.

The bird has blue and black feathers and its looking to the right side.

I love this picture, because I consider that in the nature there arent a lot of birds with this colours and I believe that they combine in a perfect and wonderful way

I feel liberty because I see birds flying in liberty and  I feel happy. I remember when I was little and played with my friends in the street of the town.

Among the painting exhibited in class, my “favorite” in this moment in my life is definitely the tulips.

The colors of the artwork suggest a cold and very elegant composition: purple, blue of two different

tones, dark and light gray, white, yellow and beige. It seems purposely made to hang in a double

bedroom.

The brush strokes are fast and effective.

The botanical forms are shown and at the same time hidden from view, as if they were moved by

an invisible air.

The textures of the top part of the canvas and the bottom part are different, I really like that.

In my opinion, it is the most interesting and mysterious painting among those exhibited.
