Kingston is a large city. We have lots of bussnesses and shops, but one of of the things we need more of is parks. I have a park in my neighborhood but it's fairly small with lots of other empty space. Personally I think there should be a park in every area. (e.g. Caturaqui Woods area, Loyilyst area... etc) The past few years kids haven't been outside because of all the new electronics. Maybe if Kingston put more parks (within walking distance) kids will go outside and not spend all their time on IPads and IPhones...etc. Also i think the money from "texting while driving" tickets ( and more) should go toward new and improved parks.

There are many Benefits to living in the city. In the city, there are lots of teams trying their best to help poor people whom live on the streets.they bring them in and give them food. But that's not my point. In the country, there may be lots of trees and beautiful scenery, and lots of people may like it, but there may not be much nature left in the future and you don't want to start out with beautiful trees and end up with nothing. The city's benefits are it's easier to get around because there are taxis and city buses. In the city, there is WiFi so that we can call our loved ones. Although sometimes, parents tend to think that you may need to have less electronic time. Again, I'm going off track. So, other benefits of living in the city are that

I think Kingston needs more parks because, here Kingston we have 4 or 5 parks and I feel that it's not helping kids getting outside because phone are taking kids away from the outside. I was thinking about some parks on ever neighborhood but most neighborhood's already have a park or 2. Kingston needs a lot of spots where kid can hang out and some parks should have a water park attached to the park. I started to feel that Kingston needs more parks now.

I think Kingston needs more parks around the city because a lot of the parks in kingston are small or medium sized. Now,I think that kingston should have atleast 3 big parks for kids to run around and play.You might ask "where would you put this park"? I think that Kingston should put these parks somewhere public,but not by any busy streets where a kid might get hurt.I also think that Kingston should add a fence around these parks to prevent the danger that could happen.This park should not be really big that the city will have to cut down trees so these parks should be in open land where there are not a lot of trees.This is why I think there should be more parks in Kingston.

In speech I will be telling you why Kingston needs more parks. Kingston as you know is a very small city, so we don't have much space to work with, but with the space we do have, I will be telling you what we should do with it. Kingston has lots of businesses and stores, but what we do not have is parks. I have a couple parks and open spaces, and that's what's bothering me. All the open spaces and fields are being turned into places where people can build houses. If More parks are going to be built I think they should not be built near busy streets. As much as I love my computer, phone and iPad, I have to say that kids need to use them less and spend more time outside. By building more parks in neighbourhoods, kids will be able to go outside and get more fresh air. Having more parks and open space will make Kingston look nicer. That's why I think Kingston should have more park's.

I think that kingston needs more shops because we are doing bad in stores and the mall is the only good shopping center and shops in kingston. I think that we get rid of the old houses and turn them into restaurants or clothing stores. the people who lived there would not be forced out to do this if they move or pass away the houses just wont go back up for sale well just renovate and change them into restaurants. and the places where the restaurants used to be change them into stores. i think it would be better because gas stations make more money because you would have to drive to every store. its not like everyday your gonna eat at the same place downtown so you cant walk place to place like downtown.

I think living in the city is better than living in the country because people in the country wouldn't have many neighbours and the people in the city would have a lot of neighbours. Also people in the country wouldnt get as much candy on halloween. If you live in the city you are closer to alot more businesses such as restaurants, stores, and schools.To go to school it would take twice as long for someone that lived in the country and you would have to get up earlier so you wouldn't miss the bus. There are bigger backyards and bigger spaces so you can play more sports and you can build tree forts. In the country, you can have a farm and have pigs, cows, chickens, goats and turkeys. This is my little speech as to why I think living in the city is better than living in the country. I think this because it is convenient. When you live here in the city, you are closer to health care, stores, schools, buses, grocery stores, people and many more things. When you live in the country, you are far away from everything which is not convenient. I personally like the city because most of my family is here, I'm close to stores, and it makes life easier for my parents to get to work, get groceries, and to just go places. I think that living in the country is better than the city because you can get away from all the electronics so you can focus on spending more time with your family or have some pyisical activity. I think that Kingston should have more parks for animals because people have tipped the balance between nature and human society. The result is many animal homes being lost. I think that humans can destroy some unwanted buildings so we can fill those unwanted buildings with trees and animals. That would bring tourism and more money to make the places that were not destroyed better and more habitats for animals to make their lives better. I think that people should only have one house or place of residence. People should not be allowed to have a cottage or trailer plus a huge house. You should have only one residence. Some people have never seen a bluejay but are so amazed when they see one. Why should some people have two homes when a Bluejay struggles to find one? I bet back then the pioneers would not be amazed at seeing a Bluejay. So think of the people today and the people in years, how they will never see a Bluejay. And if you look out your window, you’ll probably say that Kingston is very green. But in the future, not so much. That is why I think we should have more parks in Kingston.

I believe Kingston needs another mall. My reason is because the Frontenac mall doesn't have many stores and most of the stores that used to be there have been closed because they weren't making enough money. So I think that many other people in Kingston would agree with me by expanding Frontenac mall or making something else out of it, and the Frontenac mall would make more money from the people who shop there. I believe that if we have another shopping mall the people in Kingston who don't live near cataraqui mall would be a lot happier to not drive ten minutes to shop for some shoes. This is my opinion of getting a new shopping mall and I hope that you can consider making the new mall.

I belive that Sydenham Road needs a bike track. I think that Sydenham Road needs more bike tracks because when my brother and I bike around we have nothing to practice on to get better. I think that the city is better then the country because you are closer to more stors. From my experience from livening in the city is awesome. Some of the reasons are you live close to more things and since you are close to more things you can go trick or treating. The good thing is you are never in a rush because you are close to everything. So I think everyone shuld live in the city.

Living in the country is better than living in the city because the country is quieter, it has lots of space and you can find lots of cool, old stuff. I am moving to the country soon and I have found an old, burnt down General Store from the 1700s and lots of old alcohol and wine bottles. There is lots of space for my dog and me to play. In the city you don't have too much room to move around and you usually can't move into an apartment when you have four people in your family like me. The city is really noisy and it is polluted. I can't wait to live in the country because it is better than to city.

I think Kingston needs more parks because kids don't spend enough time outside. Instead of playing outside kids talk on the phone, text, and watch movies in their basement all day. If Kingston has more parks and more new equipment at the park, kids will want to play outside more than staying inside. If Kingston has more parks it might make kids think about how much stronger and how much smarter they can get. Kingston is a wonderful city and if it has more parks, Kingston will be a brighter and more beautiful city. Also I think that if Kingston gets more parks it will be a better environment for kids and adults because with more parks around it won't be such a crowded space. That is why I think Kingston should have more parks.

I think we need more parks In my area and others so kids can have fun outside instead of inside spending all of your time playing games. Maybe if Kingston builds more park make more skate parks, water parks, and dog parks, there is lots of space in other parks to build . Over in behind chapter they have water parks and it looks they spent lots of time building it so more parks shoud be build. #bring the parks back
