Emergent Curriculum best fits with the Reggio Emelia curricula, mainly because they both follow theorists like Dewey, Piaget, and Vygotsky. They believe that children should have some kind of control over what they want to learn. Emergent curriculum also follows the same fundamentals of Reggio Emelia, being the environment and its effect on the children, how much time is being put into projects, and having the teacher reflect and plan accordingly.
