It was a way to prepare myself for adulthood because even though I had a job before, it was really hard because I didn't know what to do or how to act with colleagues. Because I think that lesson has impacted me a lot and help me feel better about myself and have a better understanding about others. This lesson has also encouraged me to send positive vibes to the people around me whether its a stranger or a friend because it won't hurt you to make someone feel better and it's not hard to do so JUST DO IT! You never know if someone needs the positive vibes and it's a easy way to make someone's day a lot better. ]]> 2020-07-27 19:49:17 UTC https://padlet.com/wukelly02/abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz/wish/663557418 wukelly02 https://padlet.com/wukelly02/abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz/wish/663558725 A challenging part of the summer for me is being able to manage my time well because I had a bunch of work from Summer Geometry and it takes up most of my day so I often don't have enough time to get to MYEEP work and being able to put in full effort into the work I was assigned.  But since I didn't have Summer Geometry during the weekends, I tried my best to finish all the work that were assigned for Summer Geometry the day of so I would have the weekend to finish MYEEP work. It was challenging and stressful at first, but as time pass by it was a lot better and easier to do. I really like how everything is run because everything we learn in MYEEP, we have a chance to apply it to a real life situation. For example, during the interview and career weeks we learned about careers and how to make a resume then applied it to a life situation and gave us a chance to perform a mock interview to see what it is like and experienced it. At the end of the interview we even got feedback to see what we can do to improve and how we can perform better in future interviews. But I do want to add something to MYEEP if I were a CIT or a coordinator. I think adding a resources sheet of places and opportunities where participants can access to learn more about different fields of careers or where classes are available for them to learn more about subjects that are or may be helpful for adulthood. Such as taxes, how to pay taxes, how it works, where can we learn about real estate and more. And it was also a chance for me to develop communication skills because I am quite shy and nervous when it comes to speaking to others.
