After witnessing Callie's prior choice read selections and her personality in class, I figured I would recommend The Selection Series . My hope is this dystopia, romance thriller will immediately transfix Callie into a world she will not be able to escape until she finishes the series. Imagine, the United States broken into different caste systems based on ability, leaving the future unknown for protagonist America Singer. As life becomes more unstable for America, she is unwillingly thrown into the selection process- certain girls from across the country are chosen to vie for the young prince's love and affection while trying to not earn enemies along the way. Moreover, America cannot decide if she should continue the selection to help lead her family out of hardship, or if she should guard her heart and hold onto her childhood love. Will she choose Maxon, Aspen, or herself? Callie, I hope this Bachelor meets the Hunger Games series enchants your heart; bringing you into the world of hope, despair, friendship, and desire.

I am recommending Cinder by Marissa Meyer to Biff because of her interest in futuristic novels. She also loves Disney tales (who doesn't), and this book perfectly ties the two together. Cinder is set after WWIII, with advanced technology and ways of living. Cinder's battle of being recognized in her society takes the reader on a thrilling adventure that's mind-blowing and nerve-racking. I think Biff will enjoy reading this book, as it combines the classic tale of Cinderella with the distant future of cyborgs and netscreens.

This series is set in a middle age time following the life of a young boy and his quest to manhood through fighting for his kingdom and by becoming a rangers apprentice assist in the protection of his kingdom. This page turner is bound to have Ean reading in to the early hours of morning.

I recommend the book Passenger by Alexandra Bracken to Mara. This book keeps the reader engaged in the life of the main character, Etta Spencer, as her entire life is turned upside down in her struggle to discover the truth about her family and determine what her future will be. All Etta has are clues her mother has left, as Etta travels through time to find a missing family heirloom, before others get a chance to take it. I think Mara will enjoy this book, which contains romance, adventure, and life with a twist of mystery.

After hearing about Darian's interest in thrillers, I decided a murder mystery would bring a little change, but keep the suspense she likes. The ABC Murders by Agatha Christie will keep Darian at the edge of her seat wondering who the killer is. The simplicity of the alphabet is all apart of the killer's plan to confuse the well-known detective Hercule Poirot. Darian, you will be completely immersed in this world as you try to figure out this intense mystery alongside Poirot.

This intense trilogy by Joelle Charbonneau tells the story of Cia Vale, who was chosen to attend University, the first step in becoming a great world leader. However, before she can begin her studies, she must undergo the Testing. This process consists of several tests, ranging from typical standardized testing to surviving weeks in a barren landscape, all of which challenge Cia and her fellow candidates to the extreme.

Kiersten do I have the book series for you. After observing your interest in the unusual tale of Miss.Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children I found an interesting book she might be interested in is Neil Gaiman's Coraline. This dark fantasy tells the story of Coraline Jones, a teen girl who recently moved into sleepy, and slightly unnerving, town with her parents. While exploring her new home she comes across a door which happens to be a portal to a parallel world. In this world she meets parallel versions of her family except for one rather creepy difference, they all have buttons for eyes. Though this new family seems perfect, Coraline will soon discover that not everything is what it seems. This book is creepy, beautiful, and over all teaches a nice lesson, never trust people with buttons for eyes. So Kiersten. I hope you will enjoy this spooky fantasy as much as I did.

My book recommendation for Annalise Weedman is the book Cinder. After listening to her enthused recount of a Star Wars book, I thought she would enjoy Marissa Meyer's complex sci fi world of cyborgs, androids, and spaceships. A take on the classic fairy tales, the Lunar Chronicles series is a wonderfully constructed story about four unique sci fi tales, all tied together with a common enemy, the evil queen... who also happens to be the ruler of the moon. With epic space battles, four strong heroines, betrayals, bio warfare, and a healthy splash of romance, the Lunar Chronicles series, starting with Cinder, will intrigue Annalise until the very last page.

This book deals with a young boy named Jonas, who lives in a world with a completely uniform landscape. Everything is seemingly "perfect" until Jonas starts seeing strange things. He begins to question everything about the world he lives in, and defies the rules of his society to show the citizens the truth. I realized that unbroken would be the perfect book for her, it is about the impossible survival of a WWII pilot after having his B-24 shot down during a mission over the pacific. He was adrift for 47 days fighting to survive shark attacks, enemy planes shooting at his raft, and starvation. Once found by an enemy ship, he was sent to multiple POW camps and then had tho survive the grueling torture by his captors.

In a world where reality is a video game, the struggle for life is much harder than expected; especially when a contest has been announced with the prize, ultimate control over the game. The book Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline, would be a great read for the Austin Naab. Ready Player One uniquely combines the past, via 80's pop culture references, the present, today's video game industry, and a possible future, an overcrowded world, into an action-packed thriller with twists at every corner. Austin's love of video games, mystery, and the past makes this book a prime suspect for him. Although I read it several months ago, it came right to mind for Austin after learning about his book interests. This addictive book will be hard for Austin to put down, just like video games. Hope you enjoy it Austin!

The book I recommend for Tony is called Capture the Flag by Kate Messner. Knowing Tony is a history and mystery fan, I think this book will captivate him until the end. The scene is set in Washington, D.C. when the Star-Spangled Banner is stolen, three strangers must work together to find the flag and return it to the proper home before it leaves the nation's capital. After becoming bored in the snowed-in airport, the three kids begin to realize that the thief may too, be waiting for his or her flight to leave. When one of their parents is accused of stealing the flag, the new friends jump into action to clear their family name and rescue a national treasure. Tony will surely enjoy this suspenseful and action-packed mystery involving a national treasure.

I am recommending the book, Inkheart, to Ben based off his previous reading choice of A Tale Dark and Grimm. Inkheart is story about a young girl whose father can “read characters out of books.” The plot follows what happens when the girl finds out her father has “read out” an evil character and so unleashed a terrible kidnapper into the real world. Full of magic, action and humor, Inkheart by Cornelia Funke is an excellent fairy tale that will keep Ben turning the pages from start to finish.

For Melanie,
I recommend John Green's Looking for Alaska. After talking with Melanie, I found that we both have a love for realistic-fiction and was heartbroken when she said she hasn't read this masterpiece, Set in Alabama, Miles, a safe and cautious boy, is captivated by the jaw dropping looks of Alaska Young. Complicated pasts sneak back into Alaska's life just as her and Miles are getting close, but that doesn't stop him from being drawn into her labyrinth. John Green's meaningful words and powerful descriptions will enthrall you till the end. Grab some tissues and prepared to be awed by this amazing piece of literature.

Michael Stapleton has read about every book on the planet, except for a few. He is a lover of action-fantasy books such as The Lord of the Rings and Eragon. I am recommending Vince Flynn's book Pursuit of Honor because he would enjoy the change of scenery to a modern-day action-thriller. Pursuit of Honor contains mystery, action, and suspense, which are all things Michael is familiar with in his style of books.

Ansley Letsinger has been recommended the book The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfus. I think that this action-adventure fantasy is just what Ansley needs to stay at the edge of her seat. The story follows the view of a young man searching for answers. Searching for his parents' killers, Kvothe sets out for a place called the University, a school of knowledge and sorcery. Making friends (and enemies) along the way, Patrick Rothfus does a phenomenal job of telling this tale of adventure, struggle, magic, and love that Ansley will enjoy page after page.
