I appreciated the amount of resources given in this course. This was very helpful being that I am new to teaching and giving me a solid foundation for starting off positively in the classroom. I especially appreciated the examples, charts, and resources given and that they can be continuously used and applied in the classroom.

The Posters, the use of SAMR model, Virtual Jigsaw and Gallery Walk will aid my processes in the classroom. Some of the info in regards to Google is a bit dated and has been replaced by Meets and similar applications that aid in the classroom to replace Zoom and other cost associated elements to the districts. Overall, besides the amount of time that had to be put into the process, I found the information applicable.

The assignments were a bit lengthy at times - one section was 8 pages of questions, some were asked a number of different ways. I enjoyed the different presenters and the approaches that each used. I can see where having had this class at the beginning of my career as an instructor could have aided me better than in year three. I enjoyed the reflection portions of each presentation and the depth that most modules went to.

To be honest, I wish I would have stuck with the protocol and 'line up' of the classes and would have taken them in order. With Covid, I felt that Technologies would have aided me better teaching virtually, so I opted to take that class first - this was a slow process for me since I started this class - Lesson Planning - at the same time I started now the 10th teaching platform and my district switched to a block format (more to learn all the time) so I was not able to blast through this material as fast as I would have liked. That being stated, the first part on videography - especially after having done that structure for the past two years now - would have been nice to test out of. Also, the fact that our district uses Google to work within and the assignments were in AOS was an interesting struggle - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CemlqQyv2s is some of the videography work I have already accomplished - the last two thirds of the lessons I found really useful - especially when it came to coming up with alternative forms of assessment that did not include paper and grading everything. All in all, I enjoyed the class. 279 videos however, with the attached Doits ... a bit lengthy - I wish there was some way of testing that proved competencies or a testing out process, if possible for future consideration would be nice. BDE!!!

This class provided me foundational applications to the classroom, however, I wish some of the material would have been applicable to Career & Technical Education with a focus on some of the subjects we teach - culinary is my field, autos and tech ed were not even addressed, sewing and fashion design and anything health care related were not addressed. I was looking forward at the start of this class to see examples and applications of CTE in the classroom, but this program had little to aid my teaching style or my classroom presentations.

To me, CTE is Career and Technical Education - this literacy program was more focused on entry level elementary school aged children and the teachers who instruct at that level. I teach culinary arts, hands on cooking classes and our element of literacy within this classroom deals with reading and researching recipes and origins of foods. I do several team and individual research projects on specific foods and areas of the globe, cultures and techniques but few of the 'tools' within this presentation/class will be incorporated into my program with much depth. Also, the 100 ish videos on tablets seemed a bit excessive and redundant. I think those messages could have been surmised in fewer presentations. If we are focusing on Career and Technical Educations, maybe the platform could be geared more towards those fields rather than just using an ELA platform and changing the titles of the class, in my humble opinion. Have the Best Day Ever!!!
