Peter Anderson
David Bell-Kopitzke
Isabel Tardif
Alexandra Harrison
Outline 5 Challenges and 5 Opportunities Business (and/or Organizations) face with our shift to Mobile Communication

Challenges
1. False news being spread on social media about a product or service.
2. Customers have come to expect instant communication. This takes away from staff down-time and vacations as they're expected to have their cell phone and email access at all times.
3. Use of face to face communications is decreased, thus effectiveness of personal interaction is not used as often.
4. employees who are used to the old way are now forced to learn a new way, this is especially difficult for older employees. Leads to quitting.
5. Constantly spending money to update technology since it is always changing can become extremely expensive.

Opportunities
1. Mobile communication allows for information to be easily shared amongst a business team.
2. Mobile communications provide a new advertising platform and therefore a larger audience.
3. Users are able to connect anytime from anywhere, this makes things such as telecommuting possible.
4. Better availability of statistics and more accurate data retrieval because of archiving.
5. No longer necessary to have people face to face to complete work. Can be done from almost anywhere.

People will tend to not listen or loose interest if a co-worker is not right to the point or speaks to complex.
4.)Business Security - Being as a lot of businesses take advantage of mobile communication, this can pose a security risk to sensitive information through the hacking of email and tapping phone calls.
5.) Overall Distractive employees - Mobile messaging and communication can increase productivity, as well as decrease productivity. Employees are able to contact and be contacted by persons outside the business work place.

5 Opportunities

1.) Saves time, Money, and Energy - Now a days people are able to communicate instantly through cell phones, emails, and video chats. People don't have to go out of there way to meet with others to get work done.
2.) Easy and inexpensive access to advertisement
3.) More effective communication - in regards to instant messaging and emails in the work place, with responses not requiring an instant response, people are able to better prepare their responses to better effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas.
4.) Convenience - With laptops and tablets you can practically work from anywhere.
5.) Creativity - With mobile communication, people will find unique ways to create a great sales pitch.
