We need to be intentional in the conduct of CCE lessons. Intentional in lesson planning, be mindful of the possible challenges that students might experience during the course of the lesson. Effective communication starts from the teacher. Teachers, when role model respectful communication and active listening, students will internalise and behave in similar fashion when they interact with their peers and teachers.

When teaching values, use examples that are familiar to students' age and level of understanding. Strive to understand their perspective and cognitive abilities, progressing from basic to advanced concepts to help them better grasp the meaning of values and understand what they should do. When necessary, role-playing can be employed to leave a more lasting impression.
