After doing the activity, I feel satisfied for now because I have a set of goals and concrete actions to achieve them. With that, I do not feel lost in my life.

The Theresian values that can help me effectively set my goals are being critical, persevering, and dedicated. These three will help me in my decision-making and in traversing in my life despite the challenges.

Other than that, I first learned that planning is helpful for me to have a clear direction in life. It gives me a sense of security. Second, I can always ask for help or support whenever I feel burdened or tempted to give up. My "roots" will be the ones to guide me in this venture. Lastly, , it is alright to be ambitious but I should know my limitations.

With that, the question I want to leave is how does one cope when they know their goal will unlock an unexpected path?

"Communication and Transparency"

1. How did you feel before, during, and after doing the activity?

Before, I only had a neutral reaction when I read this module. But deep inside me, there was this tiny curiosity on what are my classmates' ideal classroom. During the activity, I was surprised because our group has commonalities and we were also open to our differences. With that, I felt glad after the activity for I got to know some of my classmates better and all of us want to promote a safe space in our classroom.

2. What challenge(s) did you or your group encounter? How did your group overcome the challenge(s)?

The primary challenge we faced was seeing more of our similarities and uniting our differences. Though we saw some having common characteristics, we cannot just leave out the differences. In the end, what we did is to focus on our similarities while accepting our differences.

3. How can you relate this activity to what you did from the Goal-setting module?

This activity and the goal-setting module are related by tackling the subject of aims and dreams. Both activities made us reflect on what we want to be and how our group can achieve our desired identity. Furthermore, both activities made me realize that our personalities and values play major roles in making our goals into reality. Though it is also necessary to form relationships while achieving our ambitions, especially "no man is an island."

4. As a result of your learning/insights from this activity, to help create a conducive learning environment in the classroom, what would you commit to:

a. keep doing?

I will still be sensitive and understanding of my classmates. I will also keep on lending a helping hand if needed. Furthermore, I will keep on accomplishing my part with quality and punctuality.

b. stop doing?

I will stop being too tolerant of those who do not take responsibility.

c. start doing?

I will start keeping myself and the class in check in terms of the mood. I will also start telling my concerns or overall thoughts to my officers if necessary.

As part of the Graduating Class of STCQC Batch 2022, what legacy would you like to leave behind?

The legacy I would like to leave behind is to be a woman who serves others wholeheartedly. Moreover, I want to be remembered as someone who is socially conscious and filled with wisdom, which I impart.

How did you feel before, during, and after the activity? Briefly share your insights from the activity.

Before the activity, I feel calm because the session is only kumustuhan. During the activity, I realized that some of my classmates and I have a sense of fulfillment when we finish a certain task. That feeling also drives us to push forward and boost our self-esteem even a little bit. Hence, time management is important in our lives to fulfill our responsibilities and also have time for rest. After the activity, I feel motivated to do better in managing my tasks as it also a practical skill in the real-life world.

1.) Read the Personal Values Assessment Results sent by Barrett Values Center to your email address (don’t forget to check Spam Folder if you have not received it after some time). How can you make use of these information in your life?

I can make use of them by being more practical and effective in taking care of myself. Allowing more time to sleep, taking breaks in between, and praising myself for a job well done are some of the ways to do so. Though I will continue to devote myself to serve others in relation to my future profession by still lending an ear and having a compassionate heart. Furthermore, I will strive to further discover my true self by seeking opportunities for growth (e.g., joining organizations, doing volunteering work) and being confident in my decisions despite my fears.

2.) Based on what you have learned from the activity in this module, on your past learning, and your personal experiences, are values CAUGHT or TAUGHT, neither or both? Why is it important for us to identify our values? Share your thoughts below.

Values are first taught and then caught. This is most true when we are in our younger years; adults are expected to teach us the essential values and children commonly imitate them as a primary way to learn. Then as we grow up, our values are constantly tested. The world (indirectly) teaches us or molds our values through the challenges and realities we face. We also attempt to discover other principles in life that can further aid us in life through our experiences with others.

Regardless of whether values are taught or caught, it is essential for us to determine our values because they are the foundation of our life. They are one of the main bases of our decisions, which can affect our lifestyle. It is also vital for us to know our values because it is also a way to better understand ourselves. Values are unremovable parts of us for they reflect what is important for us and they are the ones we turn to when we are in a crisis.

1. Now that you have taken time to think of the values most important to you, ask your parents, siblings, and closest friend how they see you in terms of the values that you live. Give them the complete list of values from the previous activity for reference. How do you feel after hearing their response?

After hearing their responses, I felt glad that I truly had abided by my values. Furthermore, I felt relieved that I conveyed my (pure) intentions clearly and transformed them into good deeds. However, I was quite embarrassed when I heard their responses as I was not used to directly receiving compliments. Regardless, I felt a bit satisfied with myself for living authentically and righteously.

2. What insights did you gain from this activity?

Values certainly define a person, but it does not mean people will automatically perceive that one embodies them. To truly proclaim that we live by our values can be proven in two ways - others' testimonies or in times of crisis. Others, especially our trusted ones, always see how we manage ourselves and interact with them through our thoughts and actions. Hence, they can already have an inkling of who we are and if we truly live by our values. The other extreme of proving that we embody our values is in times of hardships. In those times, we are forced to quickly make decisions that are mostly rooted on our beliefs. But we must remember that others have different opinions on the most important values one should have. The reason is that each of us comes from various background and tell a unique story, which shaped their beliefs and lifestyle.

What insight did you learn from this activity?

If we are true disciples of Jesus, we are called to be good and not nice. Even in the face of persecution, we must stand by what is right and also under God's guiding light. This is because not everyone will side with us or trust us easily. Moreover, just because everyone is doing it does not mean it is already right. That is why STC hones me to be a seeker of truth like St. Teresa de Avila. They also prepare me to be confident in myself because as I slowly enter the real world, society will not be as friendly as now and there can be countless times where I will feel lost. But with confidence and truth including other Theresian values that I will like to develop, I know I can live a fulfilling life. I also believe that I be stirred to the right with my values right at my side.

What is the value of Theresian identity to you?

For me, the value of Theresian identity is highly significant. It serves as a reminder of who I am and who I should be as a person who always tries to help someone in any form. Furthermore, the Theresian identity is valuable to me because it is part of my humble origins. It is also my compass and my anchor as well since whenever problems come, the values I learned from being a Theresian enlighten me on how I should act.
