My plain sugar rock candy succeeded with 3 cups of sugar but my orange juice flavored one had failed because i didn’t mix in the sugar and water while boiling and because of the extra liquid which affected the thickness

First time it failed, but 2 time it was success. It rocked and was delicious.

Why it failled at the first time is bcuz i didnt let my melted sugar cool a little and when i put the sugar-coated stick into the hot sugar the sugar on the stick melted

I had a lot of trial-and-error with my rock candies and I had to do it all over a few times. So, the first time, the sugar solution was too hot and melted the sugar off my stick. Then, when I tried it again, there were a lot of crystals.... but they were on the bottom of the mason jar!!!! I couldn't take the candy out!!!! But, in the end my rock candy turned out quite well.

This photo is of the one with 2cups sugar. When I was making it, we forgot to let the stick dry, then, all the sugar shook off, and there was sugar everywhere in the jar, but then, the sugar became unstable, and then rock candy grew! Diana’s asiment!

this is my 3rd batch of rock candy they all had 3 cups i don't have a photo of mine with two cups.i first let it cool for ten minutes but it melted the sugar.then we let it sit for twenty minutes and it made this. my mom bought some rock candy and it looked almost identicle. it was so good. i gave some to my friends and they loved it we did two vanilla three sugar and one maple.
