A day in my life by Varlexchumi Poobalan

My day usually begins around 7/8 o’clock with the blaring sound of the alarm clock. After brushing my teeth and having a bath, I get dressed, and check my backpack whether all my college kits, are all in it. After that, I go to the kitchen to have something usually bun or bread with peanut butter or jam. Sometimes, peas and a cup of coffee or milk. I usually have breakfast with my roommate , Shaarini before I leave to college.

I take bus to college which is provided by my college itself. My college is located within walking minutes from my hostel. If my college starts at 9, I'll usually take 8.30 bus whereas if my college starts at 11 I usually take taxi or uber to campus because the last bus will be at 9.30.I always hear a group of people having a long chit-chat about this and that and cackling in the bus.LIKE ALWAYS. Moreover, I usually see long queue of cars and motorcycles stretching down the road at the entrance of the gas station to buy gas. This is a typical scene I usually see on my way to school!

Usually, my class starts at 9 and ends at 3. I have to study three sessions in the morning and other three in the afternoon. Each session lasts an hour or two.And lunch break is from 1-2pm. I always have lunch at the cafe in my campus with some of my friends.

I go straight back to home after college, and I'll reach around 3:30. After taking a rest, but, sometimes I have a nap before taking a shower. I often spend my afternoon by doing revision or playing games on my computer. Around 6 or 7 in the evening I'll go for a jog or usually play badminton with my friends. Sometimes during weekends I'll go for swimming. Around 8 I'll have my dinner near my hostel and chit chat with my friends. If there's assingment or homework I'll finish it up by that night and with a hectic schedule for the next day, I go to bed at 10:20.
