Compare their strengths and limitations

How do they meet individual learners' needs?

Placement booklets - these are good as the students get to keep a diary of their placement, all their relevant placement information is in one booklet. Limitations are that sometimes the student will 'forget' their placement book or they say they have lost it.

Observation visits - these are great as its a 1-1 visit with myself and the student whilst on placement. I get a chance to see how they are doing and we also get a chance where we can talk about how placement is going and also have a look through the placement booklets. Limitations are that the appointment has to be agreed between myself, the employer and the student. Sometimes this can be tricky to get a day/time that suits us all.

WEX (work experience) platform - this is an online platform where the students upload their placement hours, once uploaded they get sent to the employer so they can confirm attendance - this keeps track on how many hours they have completed. Limitations is that i have to individually go into this site and check the hours against each student, it doesn't tell me automatically when a student is near completion or even missed a day.
