Really interesting presentation :) I'd love to know what, if any, integrity issues have emerged from this approach to AI use expectations? ie. how do lecturers ensure that students comply with expectations, or how are students required to evidence their compliance, and what happens if they don't do this in the expected way?

Thank you for the presentation, Laurine. I'm keen to know what training UCs have received to support the implementation of AI use guidelines at the unit level.

I love the emphasis on explaining the 'why' behind AI boundaries to students. Have you found that this educational approach has actually reduced the rate of academic misconduct, or at least changed the nature of the conversations staff are having with students about AI?

enforcement?

I am curious about how UWA goes about enforcement of the layer 2 and 3? Assuming you hold the line that AI 'detection' is not reliable, then unless the assessment is observed (or supervised/invigilated) then there is no reliable way to know if the student abided by the guideline of just assistance versus full use.
